But That’s Impossible

By Mitch Berg

Kal Penn, the “Harold and Kumar” star who left the TV series “House” to take a puff patronage job in the Obama administration or campaign (whatever), was apparently robbed at gun point in Washington.

TMZ has learned Kal Penn — aka Kumar from that “White Castle” movie — was robbed at gunpoint early this morning while walking in a neighborhood in Washington D.C.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Penn claims a man carrying a gun approached him around 1:20 AM and took his wallet and other personal property.

Clearly fraud is involved.  Guns are illegal in DC.

Silly TMZ.  Silly Penn.

Was the suspect wearing a “Party Like It’s 1773” tee-shirt?

Must have been one of those newly registered firearms.

“Was the suspect wearing a “Party Like It’s 1773″ tee-shirt?”

Probably not as that would be enough provocation to be beaten down according to dog gone.

Lucky he was in DC and not North Minneapolis or he’d have been shot and the Mayor would have blamed him for engaging in risky behavior, walking around his own neighborhood at that hour.

DC thugs must be different than other thugs. I never felt unsafe when visiting Compton back when I lived there….at least until noon or so. :^)

    puff patronage job

    Pun intended?

Bubbasan, according to the story, it happened at 1:20 AM. Which is technically early morning, but not the way most people think of it.

Are you ignoring the obvious joke here? That’s not like you guys.

Stooj; maybe we would have gotten it if it had said “toke patronage job.”

Actually, as one who ignores Hollyweird as much as possible, I would have been clueless if I hadn’t brought this story into my blog, too.
