Too Good To Fact-Check
By Mitch Berg
Mere months after DOGE took a chainsaw to fuzzy discretionary spending…
A party whose approval is in the 20s, clearly living on graft, and that seems to be having trouble keeping its own house in order?
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
Don’t get cocky. The Democrats still have all the money in the world, and plenty of “talent” in the wings.
But I’m loving the flailing.

It amuses me that the Donks picked Ken Martin, but it was for the same reason they picked Walz – there’s an assumption that the DFL is particularly effective in governing and messaging because they always win here. What Walz and Martin (and AKlo in 2020) learned is that the home field advantage doesn’t translate to the national landscape. There’s no equivalent of the Star Tribune to put its thumb on the scale, nor an Alliance for a Better America that can flood the airwaves with propaganda and crowd out any contrary messages. Messingering, I believe is what we would call it.
And beyond that, Republicans in other states tend to be far more effective than the New Jersey Generals types who have historically comprised the MN GOP.

^ Yes! Mr D. Exactly what I have tried to explain for months. Poorly. Thanks for the great explanation.

And don’t forget the 900 lbs Gorilla of Minnesota politics: Education Minnesota.
The only equivalent on a national scale is “The Mouth That (kinda) Roars” Randi Weingarten – which is a blessing to MAGA is oh-so-many-ways.
