Water’s anger is really a thing of itself, unmoored to any actual injustice. The world he lives in today is far more like the one he would like to live in than the world he was born into, but he seems to have gotten angrier as he has gotten older.

The people who say that without arbitrary moderation, social media will become a cesspool of spam and porn are correct. You don’t have to be data scientist to know this, just look at any unmoderated group on usenet.
By simply making FB, Twitter, etc., responsible for what appears on their websites you will crash the business models of Zuckerberg, Dorsey, and Cook.
Let’s do it. And, yes, I know that it will mean the end of unmoderated comments on SITD, and maybe the end of SITD itself.
