Washington Post: Adolf Hitler, Vegetarian Dog Lover Who United Europe Like Nobody Before, Dead At 58

I mean, is it any dumber than the WaPo’s headline about Al-Baghdadi

One suspects had Obama ordered the raid that erased Baghdadi, the headline would have been a little less…conciliatory toward the man who brought seventh-century horrors back to the world, murdering thousands in ways designed to cow and horrify his enemies, the stuff of legends of the Mongols.

  1. I have to wonder if Trump’s aides insisted that his Sharpie was removed before he viewed the maps. 😉

This military operation regarding Al-Baghdadi shows what US counterterrorism policy in the region should be. Strong support for US special forces and intelligence. Not tens of thousands of troops for decades on end (Afghanistan).

  2. Wait – what’s that poking up behind the hideous flowered cushions? Is that a – gasp – ASSAULT RIFLE?

    OMG, I can’t believe Mitch would show such a hateful photo on a family website. I’m so triggered right now . . I can’t even . . .

  3. “Two items today, boss. First, Ali, down in classifieds, says our headline about Al Baghdadi being a terrorist murderer and rapist is offensive to Islam.”
“Okay, we’ll change it. What’s the second item?”
“Mary, who edits our religion section, says that our headline about Jesus being gay was offensive to Christians.”
    “Fire her ass.”

  4. Some people did something to an austere Islamic scholar.

    Best I’ve seen so far:

“Jeffrey Dahlmer, proponent of locally sourced meats.“

“Attila the Hun, renowned horseman and father, dies”

“Genghis Khan, ambitious traveler and noted family man, dies”

  5. Excellent.

As we approach peak Clown World, the reprobate elite are becoming as comfortable with displaying their hate for America as their rank and file slobs are displaying their degeneracy and mental illness.

We should start seeing a determined backlash soon…next November, probably.

  6. Boy D_K just wont let things go. Swiftee is right about his IQ being 80, at most.

  7. Shicklgruber was only 56 when he greatly improved the world, and shortened the Nuremberg trials, with a bullet to the mouth. Just sayin’.

But to the point, this debacle reminds me of a former company president whose subordinates openly commented “this guy has no filter”, referring to reckless things he’d said and done. In this case, however, it’s clear the Post has a flawed filter that somehow sees mass murdering rapists as “austere religious scholars.”

By that logic, if Larry Nassar were to die, the Post would call him a “creative osteopath and Sunday School teacher.” And since he’s of Lebanese descent, they just might.

  8. The one I saw- “Jeffery Dahmer, amateur chef with a flair for exotic cuisine, dies at 34.”

  9. Yes, it’s all good fun, making up funny headlines.

Except . . . I don’t think the newspaper meant to be funny. I think somebody at that newspaper really, truly, actually believed they’d get away with it. Some person employed by the greatest news organization on Earth is so utterly clueless, so completely solipsistic, they intentionally changed the headline to be more politically correct and it never occurred to anybody in the building, that the rest of the nation would laugh ourselves silly at their stupidity.

Can a person who is that out-of-touch with mainstream America survive outside the bubble? God help us if they ever gain access to the halls of power. These are the sort of people who believe they can send the military to take our guns, our cars, our 401ks, and it’ll all work out fine.

Having people that clueless in positions of influence ought to terrify the rest of us. It’s people like them who cause . . . unrest.

  10. Joe, even more terrifying–see pending ruling on whether the DOJ must provide a wide range of information to Michael Flynn’s defense–is the thought that people in the Washington Post bubble already do have a lot of that power.
