The Diversity Scam

Studies are starting to show what our lying eyes have been telling us all along; force-feeding “diversity” to people makes things…less diverse than if it merely organically.

Why is this happening?

Well, the money, sure; pimping diversity is an epic make-work program and graft opportunity for the Social Justice industry:

But it goes way beyond money.

Turmoil and turbulence create ideal opportunities for asserting power.   Poking at “fault lines” – and race was a fault line that was getting relatively stable until fairly recently – creates opportunities to accrete political power.

Which leads, inevitably, to more money.

  1. Amazon had an ad in the St Paul paper recently (for their Shakopee facility) where they said they are “an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer”. They then list some of the groups they give preference to, including homosexuals and transsexuals. So if I am a homosexual man who is pretending to be a woman, does that count twice, or do those things then cancel each other out?

  2. Its also hugely about keeping the black vote angry and hating on whitey and repubs, and hence interested in voting, without which the dems don’t win many elections

  3. I’ve noted since I was young that affirmative action (including quotas, set asides, bonuses for being part of a group) is contradictory to equal opportunity. And should we be surprised that animosity between groups increases when we make a point of emphasizing the principle of setting things aside by group? When we make a point of insisting that, no matter what the evidence, that these practices of “indigenous peoples” are good? Including Aztec and Druid sacramental systems, of course?

I remember the push for diversity in Boulder in the early 1990s. No person there who wasn’t using President Obama’s favorite source of fiber would tell you that it wasn’t becoming a war zone because of diversity. It was bad. One of my favorite examples was when feminists were angered that not enough attention was being paid to feminism in the World Affairs Conference in 1991, so they spent the afternoon topless with slogans written on their chests. Made the front page of the Colorado Daily for some odd reason.

  4. Bikebubba, the seeming conflict between Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action was explained in Animal Farm.

All applicants are Equal. But some are more equal than others.

You thought that book was a warning but for Liberals, it’s a How-To Manual.

  5. You thought that book was a warning but for Liberals, it’s a How-To Manual.

    Part 1. Part 2 was “1984”

  6. Sadly, the reality is that some of the diversity programs the Times describes are likely aimed more at transferring resources to powerful political constituencies than at actually promoting cross-cultural respect.

Wha? You mean to tell me someone has actually noticed our kids are being pumped full of leftist bullshit to make obedient moonbats out of them? Get the f*ck out of here.

  7. ‘ so they spent the afternoon topless with slogans written on their chests. Made the front page of the Colorado Daily for some odd reason.’

I’m guessing Bikebubba that while they made the Colorado Daily few if any would have made Playboy!

  9. Since its founding, the Democrat party has maintained power by using government to privilege favored groups and de-privilege disfavored groups. Working class whites are discovering that the Democrats will work just as hard to fuck them over in the 21st century as they work to fuck over blacks and Mexicans before 1970.
I heard some pundit say that he confessed to one of Trump’s advisors (maybe the guy that was fired) that he was going to vote for Hillary, and the Trump adviser responded with something to the effect of “You’re a white guy. Why the Hell would you vote for Hillaary?”
    Sounds truthy.
