The DFL has staked its electoral future on giving free healthcare and education to illegals, in a state where the middle class is having a hard time affording either.
Which is something one might expect them to do for their, er, voters.

Viewing the Youtube clip of the DFL Progressive Caucus press conference (rant), I noticed the obvious: the caucus is dominated by AWFL’s, like so much of the DFL.
What’s an AWFL?
Why that’s a Affluent White Female Liberal.

Folks, I hear you. And I agree with what you say, we are One Minnesota. Everybody should be entitled to Everthing at All times for Free. But I’ve recently been informed there’s this dismal science called “Economics” and the scientists are telling me we don’t have enough money to do all the things we’d like to do. They even have a word for it – TANSTAAFL – which means “There Ain’t No Such Thing As A Free Lunch.”
Look, I want to be responsive to The People but I have to Trust the Science so I’ve got some options to raise the money to pay for health care for illegal aliens. I ask you to rank them in order of your preference. Should we:
– lay off teachers
– close state parks
– cut student loans
– reduce welfare benefits
– raise taxes on middle-class working families
What do you me want to do?

Bigman: Of course, reducing the size and scope of government can’t be amongst those choices. Because to the left, along with the environment and abortion, government (and all its public sector/NGO hangers-on) is a holy sacrament that must be protected at all costs.
Earlier this spring, when the Trump layoffs started in earnest, a (sorta)AWFL on my ski patrol shift started decrying it all. “EVERY government worker is important and necessary”. Since I’m newly joining this shift and still sort of a newbie overall, I didn’t want to stir up tensions with my standard rebuttal: “I have zero sympathy for any government worker getting laid off because their salary is generated at gunpoint”. She was also complaining about Hillary and Kamala losing their races. Again, I didn’t bring up “They lost to, in the opinion of a lot of your cohorts, literally the most evil man who walks the face of the earth. Which means…..they’re even worse.”
