Great News, Minnesota!

By Mitch Berg

Keith Ellison is going to spend millions of taxpayer dollars defending the state against a Federal Title IX rule!

“In Minnesota, participation and eligibility of transgender student-athletes is determined by state law, through the Minnesota Human Rights Act and the Minnesota Constitution. The Minnesota State High School League, similar to other youth sports organizations, is subject to state anti-discrimination laws, which prohibit discrimination based on gender identity. Therefore, students in Minnesota are allowed to participate consistent with their gender identity. League Member Schools have done excellent work in respecting students and their individual situations as they determine their participation and eligibility within interscholastic sports.

Look – the DFL just discovered the 10th Amendment!

I guess this was inevitable, even if we’d had by some miracle a conservative governor. But that said, the thing that is most obnoxious is that the progressive left does not seem to comprehend that there are multiple issues with allowing XY into the XX sports, from perverts in the locker room to injuries due to XY using superior size & strength in the contests. A final thing that comes to mind is that when XY competes in XX events, a lot of fans really don’t want to watch a drag show, and show up as empty seats and un-purchased tickets.

The state high school league should make new leagues – biological males only, biological females only, and “open” which is for everybody.

  3. bikebubba Says:

Bigman, it sounds like a good idea until one realizes that nobody wants to participate in the “open” division, because it would be rightly seen as something of a freak show, and people wouldn’t want to watch it for exactly the same reason.

Plus, the trans argument is basically that XY wishes to present, sort of, as XX for a variety of reasons. It really doesn’t meet the central desire of trans people, and for the same reasons, most fans won’t watch the “open” division unless they’re among the small minority that loves drag shows.

It struck me recently while digesting the latest Minnesota insanity about about transgender individuals that the situation parallels in one sense the search and destroy tactics employed by the good people of Salem Massachusetts in attempting to identify and purge witches from their midst. Only in this case, the mass delusion is that there is a scientific, rational and objective state of literally being a man “trapped “ in a female body or vice versa. The heavy hand of government has been smiting left and right those apostates who deny this. They say transgenders are not delusional and that against all evidence to the contrary they are to be a protected class, able to leverage their considerable physical advantages in women’s sports. A hundred years from now our descendants will be asking WTF were they thinking?

  7. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

    Not the point, bike

The point is to give trans “a league of their own” which gives the MSHSL a perfect excuse to preserve girls sports for girls so they have a fair chance to compete for honors.

    Separate but equal.

    Hold up, boss.

There are no “transgender individuals”. There are mentally ill people running around, screeching like wombats about their pronouns.

    Take your language back.

  9. bikebubba Says:

Bigman; agreed, but you’ll never get the “trans” lobby to agree to that, which was my point. The end game is the destruction of XX spaces, and it’s either gender binary or gender anarchy.

  10. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

When I was in high school, being told, “You should be on the girls team” was an insult, not a diagnosis. Talk about humiliation.

On the other hand, if they had told me playing on the girls team meant I’d get to shower with naked cheerleaders . . . .

Dammit, where were these rules when I could have used them?

  11. cosmicwxdude Says:

Correct, the transgenders are nothing of sort, no matter how many surgeries. They can pretend all they want. Some can be rather convincing but I will always be able to pick them out no matter what.
