Meanwhile In Minnetonka
By Mitch Berg
Can you tell a Hennepin County city government’s priorities by its budget?
Let’s check:
Fireman: living wage (barely).
And the DEI intern?
I’m old enough to remember when the western suburbs were a little outpost of sanity.

Back when, as Guindon put it, you didn’t live in Edina, you achieved it, I’d say this was correct.

As someone living through our dystopian transformation in Minnetonka, I can assure that nothing is sane. We have a council that has one moderate male mayor and six progressive women council members.
The city staff are either browbeaten so they donāt say anything or are true believers in DEI and green policies.
We also have Dr Kelly āJack Kervorkian in a skirtā Morrison as a State Senator – soon to be 3rd District Federal Representative. Sheās perfectly comfortable killing everyone – in the womb or not.
And donāt forget that about 2/3rds of Minnetonka is in the Hopkins School District. We have a special election coming up where Jen Westmoreland, Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriartyās domestic partner, was the Hopkins SD Board Chair and is now running for Hennepin County Commissioner.
There is not a single conservative representing this city any more. Itās a drastic change from 20 years ago and unlikely to revert anytime soon.
