Just another day at Lakeville North last Tuesday.
Those darn Swedish and German kids mixing it up again.
Fortunately, the administration was focused like a laser beam on the real problem:
That’d be the kids distributing the video.
The Government/Industrial complex has learned from the DFL/Media complex: If nobody hears about an incident, it never happens. And if all they hear is your version of the incident, then that’s “the truth”.

Well, “they” apparently fixed the problem of kids distributing video.

Watched the video, and it appears that part of the reason they don’t want video to be shared is because the Somali girl’s chador is removed. It also appears that the non-Somali girl got the worst of it because none of the male teachers were willing to address the fact that the Somali girl had the other girl by the hair. A quick vise-like grip by the football or wrestling coaches would have solved that problem quickly.
I can’t say who started the fight, but I do think it’s fair to say that the teachers need to be pulled aside and asked if this is the case, and if so, there needs to be a policy that respect for Somali culture–men don’t touch women and chadors don’t get touched–ends when a Somali appears to be committing a crime. More or less, “if you want your culture respected, respect ours.”
