Rocks And Cows Like Us

Governor Klink is all about the stolid rural individualism:

“It’s a very Midwestern value: mind your own dang business.”

This from the guy who gave us the snitch line.

  1. “what you call the Snitch Line is merely a necessary check in our system of checks and balances that allows us to maintain our civil society in a healthy manner, your suggestion to the contrary is deeply troubling and possibly racist”

This is how it was explained (clarified?) to me by a low level DFL apparatchik.

  2. Good one, Mac. Our system of checks and balances is not actually a device to maintain a parity of power between the three branches of government but actually a permission slip for any or all of three branches to intrude and closely monitor the citizenry. Did you ask how/when the balancing aspect plays in?

  3. I can’t figure it out. Question for any of the politically adept here. Do you think (know?) that Gov Wally is one of the decision-makers amongst the MN DemoCommies or just a mouthpiece?

  4. jdm, I think he’s allowed to believe he’s a decision-maker, but one of Alida’s folks is always there to whisper in his ear.

  5. I doubt he has any deeply-held core principal beliefs beyond “What’s good for Tim Walz at the moment.”

He was NRA A rated when he represented a rural district, now he’s F. Did he read the Constitution, contemporary historical documents, scholarly works and Supreme Court opinions to come to the conclusion his previous committment was wrong, just as he decided to run for Governor? Or did he ever believe anything he said before that point?

I suspect he said what he needed to say to get ahead during his brown-nosing but safe military career, his rural crowd pandering, his election to state-wide office, and now his deep and abiding personal commitment to cutting off girls breasts because it’s such a long-standing traditional Minnesota value.

  6. Huh, so telling transgender medicine advocates that basic ethics dictates that you’d better be darned sure before lopping off someone’s private parts, or giving them hormones foreign to their DNA, amounts to “demonizing transsexuals”?

Somebody get these idiots a dictionary and a primer on basic logic. I don’t hate those with gender dysphoria, but I darned well want to protect them from people who would mutilate them for life for profit.

  7. Big, NRA rating means shit. For crying out loud they had Harry Reid at A even when he was a speaker trying to kill 2nd amendment.

  8. jpa – the credibility of the NRA rating system is not the issue. The issue is Walz switching political positions to suit his present circumstances, indicating he has no deeply held core beliefs, no principles aside from “Tim Walz,” which is consistent with his recent embrace of illegal immigrants and transgender activists. Walz seeking then losing the NRA endorsement is part of that pattern.

If you have a problem using NRA ratings as an indicator, I’m open to using a different rating system. What do you recommend?

  9. It kills me how Liberals are all about diversity and inclusiveness – for Some People.

I’m short and stout. I wear size 44 waist but my inseam is 28. You know how many of the trendy stores like Kohls and Target carry my size? None. Zip. Nada. I can’t even buy the correct waist and chop off the legs – don’t carry that size, outside the mainstream, don’t care to sell to me.

You know who does carry my size? Fleet Farm. And they also have spark plugs for gasoline-powered equipment that destroys the planet; LP tanks for my Gaia-murdering gas grill; ammunition for all my male-member-fetish-firearms; unhealthy snacks in bulk sizes for cheap; AND they let me carry my permitted pistol. Now THAT is true diversity.

  10. Big, I was just pointing out that NRA ratings are crap and are easily manipulated by libturds as it suits them at any given occasion.

  11. So now we call getting a second opinion about irreversible major surgery demonizing kids who aren’t old enough to drive, purchase alcohol or tobacco, and who need trigger warnings about screen fiction. I’m old enough to remember when doctors were demonized for attempting to cure breast cancer by removing the affected part.
