As the camera knocked that protester on his ass, I briefly, ever so briefly, questioned my utter contempt for the media.

Asshole eco-activists are a really weird phenomenon in Europe. Generally bored young people from money, absolutely religious in their fervor, pointlessly aggressive, abusive even, it’s all so odd. They’re obviously being manipulated, if not controlled, but to what end?

Dude, you can’t stand there. That’s what the tape marks on the floor are for – to tell the actors where to stand so they face the camera instead of getting a faceful of camera.
I know, they make it look so easy. Takes practice. Takes skill to walk on stage and hit your mark without looking down at your feet, all while reading from the teleprompter and making it sound fresh and sincere. That’s “acting” and you suck at it, kid.
