Re: Truth In Advertising

All,

Many of us have been talking with you for years about removing the “farmer“ from your official party name.

With this speech by Rep. Lucy Rehm?

“Solar panels are the new corn?”

Its time. Lose it.

That is all.

  1. The stupid beetch sees a lot of wind around here? Maybe that’s because it’s coming out of the mouths of DemoCommies. If she represented me, I’d be outside of her house with a freaking bull horn at 1:00 a.m.

  2. More proof that “Emery” is not a person but a collective of 13-year-old boys posting under the same identity.

First, a post pointing out farm profits are record high meaning Lesko Brandon is doing things right (no mention of price inflation).

Then, a post pointing out farm profits were lower under Trump, blaming tariffs (which Lesko Brandon kept, making this point nonsensical).

Followed by a post decrying corn-for-ethanol as bad policy (which is what made record farm profits possible).

There is no coherent train of thought, no consistent philosophy, because there are at least three separate minds posting whatever is important to them at the moment.

Wait a minute, separate minds. Hmmm. I saw Sybil. Maybe Emery IS one person, but with mental health issues more severe that I thought. Glad he/she/they/it are at their fabulous lakefront estate in Northern Wisconsin and not around here. We have plenty of nutjobs in The Cities as it is.

Emery most likely is a collection of Democrat union operatives (AFSCME, MAPE, Teacher’s ) whose primary day job is oppo research and their secondary job is promoting Progressive talking points on social media.

Union operatives tend not to be very smart and are emotionally stunted in preadolescence.

  4. Rep. Rehm: “It allows farmers to continue their farming operation uninterrupted with the added benefit of dependable revenue.”

Rep. Rehm then goes on to characterize the notion of farmer’s leasing their land to renewable-energy companies as “a lot of wins”.

But what she omits is that per many leases, the farmer is not permitted to build structures which might impede the flow of wind over the farm.

Further, just because a farmer agrees to lease land to a renewable-energy company doesn’t mean they will put a turbine or solar panel. Those same leases, written to benefit the company (which would come as a surprise to only the most gullible (looking at the Emerys of the blog)), often contain clauses that they’ll only pay a certain amount to the landowner if there’s a turbine/solar panel and if it’s generating a certain quantity of electricity. And the company is under no obligation to develop the land they’ve leased. Meanwhile, the farmer is still obligated to pay property tax on a parcel of land they own yet are forbidden from using for an indeterminate period of time.

In short, Rep. Rehm, there’s no such thing as a “free lunch”.

  5. and then there’s clean-up, when technology changes and the farmer’s land is no longer needed for giant glass mirrors but instead, power is beamed from orbit to a microwave collector atop a mountain. who pays to restore the land?

Emery has never denied this, so it is true.
