Is The Plural Of Conundrum “Conundra?”

So let me get this straight:

It’s impossible for people to get and keep a government ID, making voter ID laws “unfair“…

… but we’ll implement a “vaccine passport“ that is simultaneously accessible and will protect personal health and medical information that will be the baseline needed for people to participate in business, social life and travel?

Seems perfectly rational.

  1. Vaccine Passport which is the first nationwide pilot project on the path toward full implementation of shèhuì xìnyòng tǐxì.

Vaccine Passport is a sturdy pack animal that can be saddled with a lot of “extras” as time goes on. After all once the infrastructure is in place why waste it?

  2. Meanwhile, Pedo Joe and the San Francisco ho, are ignoring a full scale invasion from barely educated, disease infested, unvaccinated, drug mules and sex trafficked Central Americans on our southern border. Girls as young as 8 years old, are being raped and trafficked by coyotes, terrorists on the watch list and sex offenders are being apprehended daily, with hundreds more evading capture. Even the presidents of Mexico and Nicaragua are blasting them for their fecklessness. And Emery the equally feckless moron wants to bitch about Trump’s handling of the WuFlu?!

  3. So, you need to wear a mask even if you have been vaccinated because you can still get and spread covid, but upon geccination you need a “vaccine passport” to prove that you can no longer get or spread covid.
    Makes perfect sense to me!
Those “variants” have some amazing properties.

  4. The int’l (European) pressure to implement VPs is much further along and when they finally agree on a plan, they will then restrict entry to their (EU) countries to those that have VPs. That “sturdy pack animal” will also become a regular passport.

Which will open up a black market for VPs – together with the eventual one for guns. And ammo.

  5. jdm,
There already is a black market for guns on the streets of virtually every city in the country and most places across the world. A former colleague of mine, who is from Australia, tells me that after the stupid citizens turned in their guns a few years ago, the number of violent home invasions increased. He’s speculated that at least 90% of the people that initially turned in their guns, have purchased one through clandestine means.

  6. boss, I already knew there is black market for guns at present. It was a poorly written sentence. I would expect it would expand in scope like your info about Australia. Very interesting, btw, thanks.

  7. Why is a license required to drive?

    Isn’t that mobility suppression?

As always, women and minorities are hardest hit.

  8. My Dad, aged 91, got the ‘vaccine’ and had a fairly severe reaction. My sister has been working with his doctors and researching the ‘vaccine.’ She reports:

The ‘vaccine’ is not a vaccine. A vaccine is a dose of dead virus. Your body reacts to the dead virus by making anti-bodies or T-cells to fight future infections. Once vaccinated, you cannot get the disease (think polio).

The Covid shot is a ‘counter-measure’ developed by stripping a certain protein strand out of the Covid virus cell, the strand which causes the most severe problems. You get a shot of that protein strand so your body can react to it and develop anti-bodies or T-cells to fight future infections. But . . . and here’s the big difference . . . you are not immune to Covid. You can still get Covid, and you can still spread Covid. The hope of administering the counter-measure is that when you get Covid, your symptoms will be less severe because you took the counter-measure. It’s like getting any other flu shot.

That explains why the CDC says that even after everyone is ‘vaccinated,’ we still will not have achieved herd immunity so we still cannot come out of lock-down and cannot stop wearing masks and cannot open bars and schools.

My take: the Garden Administration proposes a Vaccine Passport for travel. Why? Whether I got the shot or not has NO effect on anyone around me. Getting the shot simply reduces my symptoms when I do get Covid. What’s the point of forcing everyone to get reduced symptoms? Why does the government care how bad my symptoms are?

Ah, because if I don’t get the shot, then my symptoms will be worse, which will require hospitalization, which will overwhelm the medical facilities and patients will be left on gurneys in hallways and parking lots to die a horrible death because the hospitals will be overwhelmed, so overwhelmed that we’ll need refrigerated warehouses to handle all the corpses piling up when the Surge comes.

Yes. It’s all about the Surge, that great apocalypse of Covid deaths confidently foretold by the computer models which hasn’t appeared so far, but definitely is coming, pretty soon now, perhaps not this variant of Covid but certainly one of the others, any day now, which is why we cannot relax our eternal vigilence, cannot slip back into normality, cannot live free like Neanderthals; because the Surge is coming and it’s gonna be huge, you’ll see.

The lie never dies, it just keeps getting bigger to fool people into believing the lie.

  9. I’ve always found it strange that voter ID is such a conservative hobbyhorse given the freak-outs that have accompanied calls for anything that resembles a national ID card. Remember the sturm-und-drang over the REAL ID Act?

I could go either way on requiring ID to vote, and I do think it’s being advocated by today to support a false narrative of electoral fraud.

In Minnesota — requesting a mail-in ballot requires that you provide either the last four digits of your SS# or your DL#.

  10. A question my sister didn’t ask (she’s much more respectful of authority than I am): why would a person who already had Covid, need the shot? My brother got it, had a positive test and all the symptoms, was finally over it when his employer demanded he get the Covid ‘vaccine’ shot. Why does he need the ‘vaccine?’ Shouldn’t he already have developed the antibodies or T-cells?

What’s the point of getting a flu shot after you already had the flu?

Shouldn’t there be an ‘already had Covid’ exemption for the vaccination passport?

  11. In Minnesota — requesting a mail-in ballot requires that you provide either the last four digits of SOMEONE’S SS# or your DL#.

    There, fixed it for you.

  12. Regarding the Europeans putting together a vaccine passport, don’t they need to get people, you know, vaccinated first? Last I knew, they were having a lot of trouble with that little detail, and their COVID infection rates are responding accordingly.

Regarding the question of multiple government databases, the proverb I use is “what would Chairman Mao do with this information?” In other words, keep the use very, very limited. No records of guns, etc..

  13. Let’s see if I have this right.

It’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society….

But you need two forms of government issued ID to exercise your constitutional right to vote.

  14. “Vaccine Passport is a sturdy pack animal that can be saddled with a lot of “extras” as time goes on.”

    Bingo, Pig.

And the dimwits that walk around with diapers on their faces, offer their arms for a load of experimental magic juice and happily lock themselves into their houses for “lockdowns” are crucial to the reprobates plans. It’s why these dolts need to be ostracized at every opportunity; they are not necessarily evil, but their stupidity is being wielded like a sword by evil people.

Speaking of getting a load of the experimental magic juice….who’s down for donating a couple yards of skin to the cause?

    2 Jab Tater?

  15. International inoculation forms have been in use for many decades and I always carry one with my most recent required vaccine information.

The vaccination records need to be linked with ones passport or drivers license, and not a completely separate document. These are secure documents with protection of individual privacy.

  16. 2 Jab Tater burped: “International inoculation forms have been in use for many decades and I always carry one with my most recent required vaccine information.”

Right. You may suddenly get the urge to ski the Alps and need to jet off without delay, right Tater? But wait…you say you carry “International inoculation forms” AND with “[your] most recent required vaccine information”.

Aren’t “International inoculation forms” the “required vaccine information”? What’s the difference between these documents you keep at the ready? WTF are you babbling about?

Tell us Tater, there is a name for “International inoculation forms”; what is it? What are the communicable diseases one is required to show immunization for, and what countries require proof? What disease was dropped from the proof requirement? You have the paperwork right there, shouldn’t take you but a minute to answer.

lol, I’m just kidding, ya pathetic, lying asshole.

  17. 1) All of the vaccines are still considered experimental.
    2) minorities and poor people are less likely to get the vaccine & so will be less likely to obtain a vaccine “passport.”
    3) Every minute of everyday millions of people install apps that compromise their phone’s security.
    4) You ever seen how many people, especially the poor, use their phones? They are always getting lost, broken, loaned out, out of minutes, and people buy cheap, unreliable phones that come loaded with spyware “apps.”

So of course, Emery can’t possibly see why anyone would mock the idea of a “vaccine passport” app.

  18. Do you guys carry a record of your flu shots, too, E-Collective?

Because that’s all the Covid counter-measure is: a flu shot. It won’t stop you from getting Covid, it won’t stop you from spreading Covid, it does nothing to protect society from the spread of Covid.

A passport showing everybody who got a flu shot will do absolutely nothing to protect society from the flu. But it will provide the government with a very handy biometric database in case we need to round up people who have certain genetic markers.

Nothing wrong with that, of course. It couldn’t possibly be abused.

  19. “The vaccination records need to be linked with ones passport or drivers license, and not a completely separate document.”

And that is a lie only a 85 IQ moron would post.

There is a document, accepted by every country that requires such records. It is in no way “linked” to passports or DL’s. What’s it called? Quick!

Jfc, Tater. You’re the worst liar in the history of SiTD.

  20. Conservatives: “A private business should be free not to bake a cake for a gay couple.”

Also conservatives: “A private business has no right to refuse to serve me if I’m not vaccinated.”

  21. So, let’s take a quick look at 2 Jab Tater’s ever evolving CV:

    International jet setter
    Stock market shark
Real estate mogul (*prime* real estate only, tyvm)
    Virologist
    Bio-chemist
    Legal scholar
    Constitutional scholar
    Skilled lawyer
    BirKie shredder

Peevee has been left in the dust….

  22. The free market will help sort this out. Perhaps restaurants that require a vaccine passport will get more business.

  23. Jesus Christ, Emery! You always go from the sublime to the ridiculous with your inane rants.

  24. Hoss, at least one of them has to be a random sentence bot. No one can be this ignorant.

  25. Dr Pete
wasn’t Emery making noises about being an Engineer of some kind a few weeks back? I assume he was claiming to be a Civil Engineer since they have the most prestige.

  26. The Government isn’t depriving you of your right to speech, private companies are doing it with government approval. So that’s okay.

The Government isn’t forcing you to get the shot, private companies are doing it with government encouragement. So that’s okay.

The Government isn’t running concentration camps where Jews are being exterminated, private companies are doing it with government funding. So that’s okay.

At some point, does the distinction become meaningless, E-Boys?

  27. I predict that any restaurant which posts “No Jab No Service” will get less business.

I predict those restaurant owners will run to Governor Walz for an Executive Order closing down the competition.

I predict Emery will say, “The free market works. Restaurants which require vaccinations get more business.”

  28. “Proposals like these smack of 1940s Nazi Germany. We must make every effort to keep America from becoming a ‘show your papers society,’” ~ Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.)

    Except apparently, for voting.

  29. Pig, now that you mention it, I *do* recall Tater saying he was an engineer. He probably contracts with SpaceX…I’ll add it to his list of ridiculous lies.

  30. Yeah, without Trump no one would ever thought of a vaccine.

The first thing all my friends said in February last year was, “We should launch a man-on-the-moon” program to fund vaccine development!”

By March even the dumbest people were saying it.

Gasbag finally figured it out in May.

  31. “Gasbag finally figured it out in May”
so Emery (apologist for mass murderers) is working for the Ministry of Truth today?

  32. I mention SpaceX and suddenly 2 Jab remembers he was talking about a moon program back in Feb.

Honest to God, I hope this idiot is on someone’s watch list.

  33. I just watched a video on the Star and Sickle, of Fentanyl Floyd’s antics in Cup Foods the day he died of an overdose while being arrested for his 4th felony.

He was in there for more than 30 minutes, and he was high af; stumbling, loud talking, dancing, acting like a fool. He finally got around to remembering what he was doing in there, committed his felony and stumbled out to meet his destiny.

Reminded me of 2 Jab Tater’s antics here, tbh.

  34. “will protect personal health and medical information”

Don’t depend too much on that with Ehresmann at the wheel. Data security has not been a historical priority in her division.

  35. “Wisconsin Supreme Court rules Tony Evers’ emergency orders, face mask requirement unlawful”
    https://madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/wisconsin-supreme-court-rules-tony-evers-emergency-orders-face-mask-requirement-unlawful/article_9e8d47d0-93bf-5d61-8259-8a92a9d1481f.html#tracking-source=home-top-story

Another sign that these people don’t know what they are doing.
As these cases continue to work through the courts system, the governor’s will find their ability to respond to a real crisis crippled.
    Good going, democrats!
Tar and feathers is too good for this lot.

  36. The decision by the Wisconsin SC was appropriate and to the letter of the law. The law only allows the governor emergency powers for 60 days. Evers kept declaring a new emergency to extend his tyrannical rule.
Clearly, by limiting the governor’s emergency powers to 60 days, the intent of the law was to prevent the governor from doing exactly what he did — extend one-man rule indefinitely by simply declaring any ongoing issue an emergency and stacking emergency order on top of emergency order.
The liberals on the court who dissented from the law-upholding decision would have done exactly that — they would allow the governor, on his own, to determine if he should extend his emergency powers.
Liberals are idiots, but we know that.

  37. MO, you need to read the dissenting opinions from the reprobate minority. They defenestrate the law, and go for the feels. It’s actually pretty frightening to consider a world where these slobs rule unopposed.

  38. Bat flu was the best thing to come the reprobates way since the great depression. If the country is still standing, our descendants will still be digging out from under the heap of tyranny they’ve rolled out 100 years from now.

  39. The law only allows the governor emergency powers for 60 days. Evers kept declaring a new emergency to extend his tyrannical rule.

As the Genie said, “You get three wishes – and no ‘wishing for more wishes’.”

  40. I did read summaries of the dissenting arguments, Herr Doktor-Professor Strunk. They were pitiful desire for one man rule by a life-long public sector worker like Evers.
It is difficult to adequately describe how damaging these executive orders, here and in Minnesota, have been to the practice of democratic government. The smart thing would have been for Evers & Walz to use the time of their first emergency decree to engage with the legislature and come up with a compromise set of laws that had the blessing of the people’s representative.
Evers and Walz srewed the pooch, and turned what could have been a non-partisan response to the pandemic into a partisan struggle. And it is all on Evers and Walz, two of the whitest guys you could ever meet.

  41. Fortunately, the Republicans in the Minnesota legislature are perfectly happy to have Dictator-for-Life Walz make all the important decisions. That leaves Republican legislators free to collect their per diems for debating stuff like prohibiting employers from asking job applicants about their pay history; adding a $25 surcharge to deed and mortgage recordings to fund soil and water programs; and legalizing adult cannabis use. Oh, and agreeing to a gigantic state budget for the next two years – can’t risk shutting down the government while Dictator-for-Life Walz is fondling his dials.

  42. Yes, Joe Doakes, there are far more important matters for legislators to discuss then governor ordering that only so many people can attend a funeral.

  43. JD is on the right track, and I’m glad to see others starting to get it.

If the past 5 years have taught us anything, it’s that there isn’t a politician of any stripe that is worth their weight in shit.

The GOP slobs are just as quick to rat pack real change agents as the reprobates. Just ask Marjorie Greene.

We need a real grassroots, homegrown uprising to clean the whole bunch out of our lives.

    We revoke our consent.

  44. Emery, 31 Mar, 09:13:
International inoculation forms have been in use for many decades and I always carry one with my most recent required vaccine information.

Fancy name for shot record. From said document: “This space is provided to record immunizations/prophlyaxis that are not required for entrance into any country but have been obtained by the traveler for additional health protection.”

When I traveled to India for work, I made sure I was up-to-date on my immunizations, per a strong recommendation from my company’s health department. I was not required to present my shot record upon my arrival, the idea was that it would be helpful for health professionals to diagnose and treat me should I fall ill in a foreign country.

    Emery, 31 Mar, 09:51:
Conservatives: “A private business should be free not to bake a cake for a gay couple.”

Also conservatives: “A private business has no right to refuse to serve me if I’m not vaccinated.”

Strawman argument. The poor fellow who’s been taken to court 2 or 3 times (and won) never denied service to a customer based upon their sexual identity. He refused to bake a cake for an event he had a religious objection to.

Also, you’re making an apples-to-orange comparison: A private business has no right to my private medical information.

    Emery, 31 March, 11:00:
“Proposals like these smack of 1940s Nazi Germany. We must make every effort to keep America from becoming a ‘show your papers society,’” ~ Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.)

    Except apparently, for voting.

When Arizona passed SB1070, the media Chicken Littles called it a “show-me-your-papers” law.

The only thing voter ID laws do is suppress voter disenfranchisement.
