Dog Licks Dog

Late pot party candidate left recording saying he was recruited by GOP to pull votes away from Angie Craig:

Y’know – sorta like the DFL did with Tom Horner in 2010.

OK, Strib – now do Ilhan Omar.

  1. So this tweet slamming the GOP, based on second hand information, is ok. But, Hunter Biden’s laptop isn’t able to be verified.

Hey, I was enjoying some dank buds last week with my buddy Spiccolli, and was told that Lacy Johnson had paid him to drown some puppies. If I pass that along to a reporter, is that news??

  2. Yes! to the above comments, but it occurred to me that I guess I don’t understand why recruiting this weirdo is A Bad Thing. Other than the wink-wink nudge-nudge implication that it is.

I mean, the guy, apparently attractive enough to some portion of the Democrat voter base to act as a vote sink, had to agree to do this. It was his decision. Unless he was forced to do so – is that what the Red Star is implying? And if he wasn’t forced, then he must feel that working against the Democrats was a worthwhile endeavor.

So, is this article essentially expressing shock, shock! that politics are being played during an election? Those people on S 3rd Ave are useless.

  3. JDM, if it isn’t bad, then I guess I don’t know why Mitch is whinging.

However, PAYING someone to run might be illegal.

Mitchey, do you have any evidence that the DFL paid someone to run against Horner? I don’t know what “recruited” means for this guy, maybe nothing – but if he were paid.. well that would be “not ok.”

Here’s the funny part, you guys are going to get your arses handed to you in five days, in CD2 and CD3 at least if not the entire state (almost certainly).

The reason you are going to is that your governing philosophy of Not Governing, has proven, once again to be intellectually bankrupt and a way of never doing anything nor taking any responsibility. You shredded banking/finance regs in the 1990’s and 2000’s and we had an economic melt-down, Your Hero, Cult-Politics Fearless Leader Cheeto Hitler did NOTHING about planning/attacking the problems COVID-19 was gong to lead to if left unchecked, instead dumping it on states, leading to needless costs, loss of life, and an attitude among the populace that the national “Govmint” had no plan and failed miserably at whatever they DID try. Trump shirked any responsibility, and effectively said, “Don’t wear masks, let old people die, and go for ‘herd immunity'” despite the warnings of people who were actually educated in the science saying, masks work, no need to let people die, contract trace, and herd immunity may never be possible (let alone that it will lead to 1 Million deaths or more by the end of 2021).

So, whinge away Mitch, but take responsibility too. Two wrongs don’t make a right, if you don’t like it, don’t do it. If you think it’s all fair in love and politics (as JDM asserts), then quit yer bitchin’. But MUCH more importantly, address the 800 lbs. Gorilla in the room. This election is about COVID and Trump’s abject failure to handle it because he was never EVER qualified or smart enough or morally upright enough to do anything about it, just like conservative government can never really plan or handle any crisis because all you want to do is cut taxes and do away with plans. Anarchy has a cost.

  4. … is it possible to insert images? Like gifs? Because reading that p-boi screed got me thinking about doing a search on “gif frantically typing”. Came across a nifty image using Jim Carrey, but I wasn’t sure it would work.

  5. OK, so what we have, if this is true, is a supporter of his cause…..knowingly taking time off from work and losing income to undermine that same cause. Other people testify to his support of this cause.

The polite way of responding to this claim is “I ain’t buyin’ it”. Put less politely, “excrement from a male bovine.”

  6. As usual, useful eediot PW, projects perfectly, just like his buddy Emery.

Enlighten us, PW. If the GOP was responsible for the crap that you spew, why is it that 95% of the big banks and investment firms donate far more to the DemocRAT Party and their feckless representatives? Also, feel free to let us know how you, the medical professional that you are, would have have handled the WuFlu. Then explain how, when Trump closed down travel from China and then Europe, Mr. Know it All Biden, as well as many other lying, hypocritical morons on your side, called him xenophobic, said that you should continue to go out to Chinatown districts, without masks and say that masks a. were not effective and b. That you didn’t need them. Finally, isn’t it funny how Biden’s “plans” were literally plagiarized right from what Trump actually did? You are a world class hypocrite!

  7. I’m wondering when some intrepid reporter is going to ask for Adam Weeks’ autopsy. The fentanyl level comparison might be enlightening if compared to George Floyd’s!

  8. So this tweet slamming the GOP, based on second hand information, is ok. But, Hunter Biden’s laptop isn’t able to be verified.

Has anyone found Tucker’s hard drive?

Tucker Carlson is claiming that his super-secret, extremely damming trove of documents about Hunter Biden was stolen while in transit.

    The dog ate my bullshit…

  10. I never bother to read left-wing blogs. I already know what they’re going to say, and it’s silly, and commenting there is a waste of my time: you can’t reason a person out of a position they weren’t reasoned into. Nothing on those sites has anything to do with reason, it’s all bile, all the time.

For the life of me, I can’t imagine why they come here. They’re like stray cats in the neighborhood – go poo in your own sandbox, we don’t want it.
    .

  11. By the way – I’m still waiting to be educated by some knowledgeable leftist: what steps should President Trump have taken to save the nation from Covid, when should he have taken them, and under what authority?

    Still waiting.

    Still waiting.

    Still waiting.

    Still waiting.

  12. JD, stray cats have more scruples and integrity, why do you hate them so much to compare them with trollbots that infest this blog?

  13. Joe, you TRULY are slow.

    Here are three things.

Lead – wear an F’in mask to make this NOT a political issue
    Spend and hire contact tracers
Learn – stop saying we’re “rounding the corner”, or that it’s the flu, or that 99% of people “will be fine”
and Learn again, see how Taiwan succeeded where you did not.

If you think Trumpey-Stumpey-bumpey-boo did so well, why, per capita, are we doing SOOOO much worse than nearly every other industrialized nation.

You live under a rock inside a cave at the end of a long, dark tunnel. You need to come up for air.

That you hold your position given your demographic, is startling. I won’t go further on that because it’s personal and I don’t want to do that but sheeesh. I think you’d care.

With respect to “draining the swamp….” https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/emails-show-how-pompeos-mixed-personal-official-business-n1245182

Trump is the snake, the GOP sycophant’s are the water.

  14. Sorry Joe, I should be more respectful. I know you aren’t willing to be, but I should be better.

Long and short, Joe, health care experts have said for 10 months what the President needed/needs to do. It’s not a mystery. Do some reading away from the Faux news/OAN bubble, and you’ll see what people like Anthony Fauci (as well as HUNDREDS of other experts) say needs to be done.

Seriously – look, you’ll be startled – or at least you should be if you truly think Trump did anything close to what he needed to do.

  15. @BB
The Wall Street Journal can find no record of any business relationship between Joe Biden and the business entity Bobolinski says existed. It’s an unfounded, unsupported, non-factual rumor.

Hunter Biden’s Ex-Business Partner Alleges Father Knew About Venture

Former vice president says he had no involvement; corporate records
reviewed by The Wall Street Journal show no role for Joe Biden ~ WSJ
    https://www.wsj.com/articles/hunter-bidens-ex-business-partner-alleges-father-knew-
    about-venture-11603421247

The WSJ did an investigative piece saying there was no direct connection with Joe Biden. That was the critical piece for me not taking the Hunter allegations particularly seriously.

As far as the suggestion that the money could have gone indirectly to Joe Biden, could I possibly direct you to several hotel properties around the world where you might be able to make an indirect payment to the current office holder.

The mainstream, intellectual Left is just as bad. I’ll read an essay in, say, Dissent, find it full of question-begging, logical fallacies, specualtion stated as fact, etc., and then check the author’s Wikipedia page and find that the author holds a high position at some think tank or in academia, with a list of awards as long as your arm.
Joseph Stiglitz is a Nobel-winning economist. He was Hillary’s economic adviser, and is very high in Democrat councils.
He has a number of videos on Youtube, giving talks on economics. They are bullshit; gobbledy-gook, highly context-dependent jargon, with nearly every statement so qualified that it can never be claimed that he actually said anything.

  17. That was the critical piece for me not taking the Hunter allegations particularly seriously.

Ah, but that’s not true. Here you are frantically trying to refute them – with week old info no less.

  18. 👆 Look at that big brain on bread — took you way too long.

Does this mean Giuliani and his cohorts don’t have a fictitious legal case now?

Of all the factors weighing on voters right now, Hunter is no where near the top of the list. And nor should it be.

  19. EI, I really don’t care what the WSJ says when there are clear examples of text messages that make pretty clear that Papa Joe was in in the scam. A disk drive full of notes like that (and some pictures that might well land Hunter in jail for drugs and child porn to boot), and you say there’s no evidence? Please.

And really, Hunter getting all those cherry jobs with no work and lots of hookers, and it had nothing to do with his dad’s position and influence? Yeah, right.

  20. Look at that big brain on bread

Interesting that E1 and E2 used the same lame retort. Maybe JD, or whoever else said it, was right, the two Emerys are the same person. Perhaps the appearance of the one or the other just depends on half-life of his Lamical dose.

  21. bike, there has never been a more corrupt and a compromised presidential candidate as basement Joe. Sleepy is the ultimate projection of what demoncRats claim sTrumpet to be.

  22. Paddyboy, perhaps….try and reconcile what you recommend vs. what the data actually say? The efficacy of face masks is, at best, contested, most likely because many people use them as “face condoms” to enable behavior that otherwise they would know are dangerous?

Plus, if you want to hold Dr. Fauci as a great example of good advice, you need to keep in mind that Fauci commended at least one Governor who idiotically sent COVID patients into nursing homes. Yes, that same fool is defending his actions–interestingly by pointing out most victims didn’t die there (but rather in hospitals)–but there are a number of places where Dr. Fauci really embarrassed himself. First it was masks are bad, now they’re good, and a lot of political calculation. Um, we’re going to stake our lives on this changing picture? And Trump is evil because he did political calculation–bringing in the factor of the consequences of shutting down the economy–but Fauci and Cuomo are good for the exact same reason?

    Please.

  23. Tucker should do a spin-off show that just consists of him reciting complaints to the manager in a conspiratorial tone.

  24. The paddywagon at least made an attempt to answer the question. He said:

“Lead – wear an F’in mask to make this NOT a political issue
    Spend and hire contact tracers
Learn – stop saying we’re “rounding the corner”, or that it’s the flu, or that 99% of people “will be fine”

Okay, that’s a start. But it’s not a complete answer, P-boy. Maybe it would help if I gave you a template.

On January __, President Trump should have ___ under the power granted to him by ___. That would have saved lived from Covid by ___.

Example: On January 25, before the pandemic was declared, President Trump should have ignored the advice of the WHO and CDC saying not to wear masks.
He should have started wearing one to set an example to the nation. He didn’t need any special authority to ignore the concensus of medical experts, he could have done it alone. That would have saved lives by preventing nursing home patients in New York from contracting the virus from staff.

See? Like that. Date. Action. Legal basis for doing it. Explanation how it would have saved lives.

The third one is the key. Wearing a mask to inspire others to wear a mask might have been helpful, if masks prevented people from dying of Covid. Hire contact tracing – I’m going to need a fuller explanation how that stops the virus from killing people, and also some idea tracing should have begun (since test kits weren’t available for months).

Maybe you and the Big E could work together on this? He’s been saying for months that President Trump bungled the response, but he’s been having difficulty explaining what steps the President can take to eradicate a pathogen. Be nice to get some answers, for a change.

  25. Contact tracing doesn’t work when you have wide community spread because you get a lot of non-compliance.
What happens is that strangers call you up and ask about who you have spent 15 minutes or more with, within 6 feet since you began to have symptoms. Mask or no mask. Hard to believe, isn’t it?
The victim knows that the people he/she names are screwed and will be locked down for 14 days, lose pay, have to cancel meetings, be a pariah in the neighbrhood, etc. , many people will NOT or cannot give factual information. They may spare a contact who has enough problems already, or name a name to spite an enemy.
Medical privacy laws protect you from having to answer questions from strangers calling you on the phone, anyway.
When you have significant amount of non-compliance with a lot of community spread, ‘contact-tracing’ is as useless as the ‘remove your shoes’ theater at TSA check in lines.
The authorities, including ‘public health officials’ know this. It is common knowledge. But they do it anyway so they can say they are doing something.

  26. People who test positive are contacted by an MDH official and given instructions that are intended to slow the spread of the disease. These place a heavy burden on the shoulders of a person who may have no more symptoms than a head cold or no symptoms at all.
So when people get ill with what they believe may be covid, they take measures themselves and avoid getting a test and living with all the bullshit that follows.
This is a real thing and is happening.
The government cannot save you. Public health officials cannot save you. All they can do is hurt you.
Take common sense precautions, isolate the sick, and protect at risk populations.

  27. My, my. my…

An email Hunter Biden received in April 2015 from a Burisma executive discussing an introduction to then-Vice President Joe Biden, which lies at the heart of a New York Post investigation, is unquestionably authentic, a cybersecurity expert told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Thursday.

The DCNF obtained a full copy of Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Wednesday. The DCNF provided Robert Graham, the founder of the cybersecurity firm Errata Security, with a copy of the email and its metadata for forensic analysis.

Graham, who has been cited as a cybersecurity expert in The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Wired, Engadget and other news and technology outlets, told the DCNF that he used a cryptographic signature found in the email’s metadata to validate that Vadym Pozharsky, an advisor to Burisma’s board of directors, emailed Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015.

In the email, Pozharsky thanked Hunter Biden for “inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together.”

  28. Max, it’s like you have had a cold or a flu once or twice in your lifetime. And did NOT die!

  29. Emery Idiotito; please try to keep up. UPS admitted that the documents were missing, but didn’t say how the envelope got opened. And they did find them. So much for your regurgitated dog ate my bullshit. God, you and your brother are pathetic.

And, if the whole story is bullshit, why did Glenn Greenwald, not even close to a right winger, got his story about it, censored by the idiots at a news source that HE founded? In a rare display of journalistic integrity, resigned because of it. This action by Greenwald shows more intellectual and personal honesty than you and your other two stooges on this board, will EVER show.

  30. A 64-page document asserting an elaborate conspiracy theory involving Joe Biden’s son and business in China, that was later disseminated by close associates of President Trump, appears to be the work of a fake “intelligence firm.”.

The document, which went viral on the right-wing internet a month before the purported leak of files from Hunter Biden’s laptop, was said to be authored by Swiss security analyst Martin Aspen — who doesn’t exist, according to an analysis by disinformation researchers.

How a fake persona laid the groundwork for a Hunter Biden conspiracy deluge
    https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/security/how-fake-persona-laid-groundwork-hunter-biden-conspiracy-deluge-n1245387

  31. Hook… line… and sinker…

And this story has absolutely nothing to do with the credible allegations currently swirling around Joe and Hunter Biden. But as you can see, it has been positioned, angled, and headlined as a decoy to fool NBC News consumers into believing the allegations are all fake and have now been debunked.

What’s more, no one I know has ever even heard of this “64-page composition that was later disseminated by close associates of President Donald Trump [and] appears to be the work of a fake “intelligence firm” called Typhoon Investigations, according to researchers and public documents.”

Breitbart News didn’t cover it, and way down deep in the story, NBC is forced to admit that a few obscure blog posts about the document were only shared 5,000 times across Facebook and Twitter, which is nothing.

So you can see what NBC News is doing here… “Debunking” a story that has nothing to do with the credible corruption allegations against Joe and Hunter Biden and dressing it up to look like it’s Game Over with that laptop full of incriminating emails and whistleblower Tony Bobulinski.

  32. jpa, good comment. It’s impressive how frantic our little trolls have been over the past few days.

    Squirrel!!

  33. This is the hot garbage Steve Bannon has been selling. The quality work we’ve all come to expect from the Bannon Brand™️.

  34. For some reason I am always clueless about these r wing conspiracy theories that all the rage among conservatives.
I wouldn’t know about Hillary’s alleged lesbian affairs if it wasn’t for liberal pundits & opinionators, because none of my conservative friends have ever mentioned it.
It’s not even controversial that conservatives understand liberal arguments better than liberals understand conservative arguments. I reckon that this is caused by, in part, liberal intolerance to ideas that they do not agree with.

  35. Notice, not a single word about the actual charges, just attacks on the messenger. Par for the course, what else can you expect from mindless trollbots?

  36. I follow the news primarily through the NYT the WSJ and look at Fox News online as well. The WSJ reported that they could not find supporting evidence for wrong doing by the Bidens so I assumed the story had ended. When the WSJ and the NYT, two large reputable newspapers with differing political slants, report that there is nothing to a story, there is nothing to that story. But note, they did write about the story so we readers were made aware. Yay, free press!

You are mistaken if you think these newspapers are obliged to explain the convoluted half-baked conspiracies cooked up by other “news” agencies. The NY Post and Fox News have a reputation of taking a few facts mixing them well with opinion and innuendo and then, after chewing on it excessively, serving it up as a warmed-over hash. Not my preferred diet.

  37. That, right there, is a perfect example of why anyone should never engage in a discussion with our resident idiot trollbots,

  38. I was at Best Buy the other day and saw a laptop that looked like Hunter Bidens..😂

  39. “Absence of evidence is not evidince of absence.” This is a fundamental rule of logic which has been used in formal reasoning for thousands of years. It is also unknown to a certain troll. It works like this:

J: There is a full moon tonight.

E: I conducted a thorough investigation of my sock drawer and found no evidence of a full moon tonight; therefore, I have proven there is no full moon tonight.

Of course it’s a silly example. I have to dumb it down for a certain reader to understand. It’s no sillier than relying on main-stream media journalists to investigate corrupt Democrats. They have no incentive to look and no talent for it.

Bill Clinton even rubbed journalists noses in it, saying: “I don’t believe you can find any evidence of the fact that I have changed government policy solely because of a contribution.”

He doesn’t deny he changed policy. He doesn’t deny he got a contribution. He doesn’t deny he changed the policy because of the contribution. He doesn’t even deny that evidence of the fact exists. He only tells you what he doesn’t believe: he doesn’t believe you can find the evidence.

To use his statement as proof that he didn’t change policy because of a contribution is a logical fallacy.

But then, it’s The Big EEE we’re discussing, so we’re used to that.
    .

  40. Just for this I have decided not to vote for Hunter Biden.

I understand there’s a lot of questions about both Biden and Trump‘s financial dealings, so its really good that both have released their tax returns so we can take a look. A move everyone who cares about this stuff would insist upon I’m sure.

  41. Too soon, EI. Go back and read the email.

You’re chanting “Bungled Covid” until after the recounts/lawsuits are complete. Only then do you switch to “Tax Evasion Impeachment.”
