These Are The Barricades

The similarities in demographics in population between Virginia and Minnesota are inescapable. Both states are large, solid red expanses of land and people, surrounding small, densely populated democrat dominated Metropolitan areas.

And of course, both states have Democratic parties prone to going wild on orgies of spending and power grabbing whenever they get unfettered power. As the Democrats did in Virginia over the past year, driving a wave of “progressive” legislation pretty much across-the-board, but especially focusing on gun control.

And watching Virginia’s Democrats, it’s not hard to think that they might actually be a little bit calm and restrained compared to the ones we have in Minnesota, the party of Ryan Winkler and Alondra Cano and Melissa Melissa and Ilhan Omar.

It’s hard to imagine what that crew would stop at if they got unrestrained power Dash say, by flipping the Senate this fall, giving them raw, unfettered access to all the money and all the power.

This isn’t problem just for Second Amendment advocates, of course.

But Second amendment advocates are among the best organized to do something about it; I’ve been telling conservative groups for a decade that they need to learn something from the Second Amendment movement nationwide.

Four Minnesota counties – Clearwater, Marshall, Roseau and Wadena – have declared themselves “sanctuaries” for the Second amendment (some choose the term “dedicated” to avoid confusion with immigration issue – the effect is entirely the same). It’s not just a symbolic statement; the resolutions include language about litigation against intrusive legislation, as well as well as demurrals from enforcing unconstitutional laws.. Resolutions have been introduced in three more counties – and probably a few dozen more have some degree of activity on the subject.

Yours could be one of them, if you live in Minnesota; in fact, you could be the one to get things going in your county. The Gun Owners Caucus has a list of resources right here, as well as a list of sanctuary/dedicated county groups around the state.

Because what better way to show the DFL; This Is What Power-Drunk Overreach gets you.

  1. Funny! One of the left wing communists that sponsored the anti-2A in the VA legislature, Mark Levine, was pissed off that a pro 2A protester, carrying his legally authorized firearms and a VA flag, was standing outside his house. Now, the little crybaby wants to make a law to prevent protests.

Levine is just another elitist, Hahvud edumacated rich boy.

I just have one question, Marky. How does it feel when the shoe is on the other foot? At least this patriot is not throwing things at you, attempting to beat you with a baseball bat or spraying you with pepper spray, like the leftist brown shirt mobs do to our side.

  2. Going to a home is wrong, no matter the cause. It is an act of intimidation that is unacceptable, by either the left or the right.

  3. I agree with sanjuan. The guy may be a commie pig – but that doesn’t mean his kids or neighbors are too.

Keep it professional, keep it effective, don’t feed the anti-gun press beast.

  4. Going to a home is wrong, agreed. It’s worse than doxxing, an act of intimidation. It’s vile.

    But it works.

Which is why the Left does it all the time.

Protesting is perfectly legal, even if it is terrifying to the home occupants. The police do nothing. The media glorify the protestors, they do nothing to stop the practice. Home protest could turn deadly in a moment and the homeowner knows it, so he changes his behavior to pacify the mob.

The Dave Durenburger wing of the Republican party urges us to play fair while the other side cheats. That’s taking moral high road. Yes, but we’ve lost every battle because of it.

At some point, you either get down in the mud and wrestle the pig on its own terms, or you lose. And lose. And lose. And lose. And lose. And lose. And lose.

Are you tired of all the losing, yet?

  5. While I agree in general with JD’s comment in its entirety, I think it’s worth a mention that years ago when anti-abortion protesters staked out clinics as well as the homes of abortion doctors, they were definitely not glorified. I think this even occurred in MN up in the 6th district.

  6. Good point, jdm.

The liberal media always takes the side of liberals, so they applaud when the union hauls busloads of protestors to picket the homes of bank executives or disrupt Republicans at dinner, but abhor people kneeling outside an abortion clinic.

That doesn’t alter the main point: if you’re playing by the rules and the opponent is cheating, you’re going to lose. Every time.

Establishment Republicans – the Mitt Romney and George Will crowd – are okay with being gracious losers; they prefer that to winning by distasteful (but perfectly legal) means.

They don’t mind being losers if that’s what it takes for Liberals to tolerate them at parties.

  7. “They don’t mind being losers if that’s what it takes for Liberals to tolerate them at parties.”

    exactly on point JD
the goal is to maintain our freedoms.
It is NOT to be invited to the right parties by the right people

  8. The liberal media always takes the side of liberals, so they applaud when the union hauls busloads of protestors to picket the homes of bank executives or disrupt Republicans at dinner, but abhor people kneeling outside an abortion clinic. – Joe

You are absolutely correct – but that doesn’t mean we can do what they can do.

The left has the media, so whenever they do something that is awful, it is either “nothing to see” or “isn’t that cute?” Not having the media on your side means awful tactics become “normalizing evil”.

It is just the physics of media relations. They hold the high ground, you don’t. Pretending that you can do what they can do, always works to their advantage.

  9. Hey JDM and Joe, I’m a conservative, therefore I don’t take kindly to that agreement thang. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  10. Sorry, but after the left mob has done this to so many conservatives with no condemnation from their leadership, including the attempted assassination of Congressman Steve Scalise and the attack on Rand Paul, both of which have left both men with lingering health problems, I say screw them! Yea, I know that Paul’s attacker was convicted of assault, but the question still remains, how many conservatives wives and children, i.e. Bret Kavanaugh’s, have been terrorized by these miscreants, encouraged by the likes on Mad Maxine Waters and the lefty media?

Actually, I would like to do that to several media types myself.

  11. Get the ball rolling in Dakota and Carver counties and you’ll have the “ciies” surrounded (that’s if resolutions can be passed).

  12. I was at the 2A rally in Richmond. There were thousands of heavily armed people there, and although I have an irrational fear of firearms, I was 100% in favor of making that show of (potential) force. Right place; right time. I believe it had a lot to do with the failure of Levine’s bill in the VA Senate.

But standing outside someone’s house with an AK, even a genuine scumbag’s house, is just fucking creepy. It doesn’t help.

Some of the guys I’ve discussed this with say they’re “normalizing” open carry with these displays, but that’s just stupid. Does anyone believe mothers would be taking their tots to the library today to sit on a tranny’s boner while being read to if faggots had started out by parading down main street in assless chaps?

All that said, Levin is a giant piece of shit. Look at his Wikibio and tell me, is there any cockroach box he doesn’t check?
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Levine_(politician)

He was Barney Frank’s butt boy (literally) for years. He went to California to make homo marriage legal, and now he’s paving over the Old Dominion. He’s not from Virginia, naturally, and he could give a shit what happens there; the only reason he lives there is it’s proximity to DC. And he has not relegated his skunk works to disarming everyone. He’s the point man on the push to make Virginia the 16th state to agree to the National Popular Vote compact.

Levine is one of Bloomberg’s projects. He’s a poster boy for why this election is so damn important. Anytime I don’t feel like traveling to a rally, or working for a right wing politician, I just look at his picture.

Y’all just sit there on your asses behind the barricades, and you already lost.

  13. I just have one question, Marky. How does it feel when the shoe is on the other foot? At least this patriot is not throwing things at you, attempting to beat you with a baseball bat or spraying you with pepper spray, like the leftist brown shirt mobs do to our side.

The Left doesn’t seem to like when our side is as ruthless as they are. I think they are genuinely afraid because violence would likely ensure if the roles were reversed. After all, protesters outside Tucker Carlson’s home weren’t content to simply hold signs.
