EXPERT: “While it is true that asymmetric terror organizations are built to survive, on the other hand, if you’re talking about the history of a putative “caliphate“, the death of the “caliph” might be considered an, I dunno, setback or something…”

    NPR/MPR is a complete loss. I listened to them for thirty years, starting forty years ago.

    Another thing I’d love to hear: “While terrorist organizations are designed not to rely on one person, the death of key leaders still is a deterrent to becoming a terrorist, or especially to becoming a key terrorist leader.”
