Derangement

It would perhaps be in bad taste to suggest that more leftist protesters try this style of demonstration:

A professor accused of creating a campus-wide alert by shooting himself in a toilet on the second day of classes last month reportedly did so in order to protest President Trump.

report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal said that Mark Bird, a sociology professor at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), has been charged with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property.

Yep.  Poor taste  Not me.

  1. Easily the most depressing line of the story is the last…

College spokesman Richard Lake told the Review-Journal that Mr. Bird still was employed as a professor emeritus as of Tuesday.

Tenure allows you to break laws be arrested and still get a paycheck. Just mindblowing. Yes I used that word intentionally. Bite me.

  2. OK, so to protest the President, this 1/8th wit disrupts classes at one of the most anti-Trump institutions in the country, the college campus?

I’m guessing that since he “collapsed” and then was talking to investigators who arrested him, he didn’t actually aim the gun at anywhere vital. Like NW says, frontal lobe.

  3. You just know the Brady people already added this one to the list of “people who attempted suicide by firearm.” More proof that guns cause bad behavior. Ban them at once!
