Fake Law Enforcement

The FBI is using the Southern Poverty Law Center as a source of investigative information:

In a letter obtained by Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., says the FBI has “admitted to working with the SPLC,” in a development he describes as “surprising and worrisome.”

“This is surprising and worrisome, as the SPLC is known to use its platform in order to denigrate and disparage certain groups by labeling them ‘hate groups,’” he said.

He said that groups such as the Christian Family Research Council (FRC) have been labeled a hate group, while members of “Antifa” — a broad collaboration of left-leaning, anti-fascist activists — have not been given such a label. He added that Floyd Corkins, who shot an FRC employee, later said he targeted the group as the SPLC had labeled it an antigay group.

But don’t you dare say the FBI has been politicized. That would be treason…

… Among the idiot – American community.

  1. Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., says the FBI has “admitted to working with the SPLC,”

That in itself is no more troubling than learning that the FBI admitted “working with” the mob or the communist party or the Klan.

But the questions Rep Gaetz raises could be very troubling. Specifically, what was the FBI working on and under what circumstances?

If one mob boss rats out another to the FBI or the Trotskyists turn on the Stalinists, we are all the better for it – but can we really trust an FBI run by Robert Mueller, James Comey or Christopher Wray?

And can we trust the FBI to properly follow leads generated by the slime at the SPLC?

A few years ago, we might have said yes.

  2. I don’t see why this is a problem. The FBI outsourced its investigation of the hacked DNC computer to the DNC’s pet consultant, CrowdStrike. And the FBI outsourced its investigation of Russian collusion with Trump to Hillary’s pet opposition researcher, Fusion GPS. We won’t even talk about Hillary’s emails. It has become the established tradition that the Federal Bureau of Investigation doesn’t investigate Liberals, it launders Liberal talking points. Why the uproar now? I thought conservatives liked traditions?

  3. JD, I just realized that we Conservatives have been hypocritical about this whole thing. We’ve constantly called for the government to outsource what it can to the private sector. You made me understand that is exactly what the FBI has been doing. 😉
