  1. Also Omar Mateen, on his Facebook page, said he endorses Bernie Sanders, who in turn endorses that old man Nolan.

Stewart Mills is running a great campaign. Old man Nolan is no where to be seen (maybe he’s busy yelling at kids to get off of his grass), while Mills is connecting with the miners and other blue collar types who make up a very large portion of that district.

  2. I am sorry. I did not quite get it. Who does Bernie Sanders endorse in the 8th?

  3. DMA….I think the commercial at the salvage yard is great. Mills mentions that as a youngster, he came to that yard on a regular basis looking for parts for repairs being made to customer cars at Mills Automotive. It sounds minor, but as the Democrats become more the party of wealthy elites (not the Republicans don’t have their share either), it seems most of the younger politicians who started out with real word jobs are Republicans. See Rod Grams dairy farm vs Mark Dayton blue blood.

  4. Back in the 1920s and 1930s, European socialists won elections (or popular support, anyhow), by promising “Work, Peace, Bread.” Note the absence of the word “Freedom.” In America “Freedom” might take the place of “bread”, since “bread” (meaning physical substinance) should result from “work” in a free society.
The European socialists chose a simple, three-word slogan because they knew that most of the People, in those days, were illiterate or semi-literate. I supported Cruz, but one of the the several things that annoyed me about his political persona was his tendency to intellectualize his policy proposals. Trump doesn’t do that. It is part of his charm (such as it is). Conservatives need a populist leader. Too bad that in 2016 it is Trump, and not The Gipper.
