Conservatism Needs…
By Mitch Berg
…someone who can smack down the lefties with style, like Friedman did here.
And to be fair, the left could use a pundit with half the class Donahue had back then. As comical as Donahue could be, neither Olberman nor Matthew were fit to carry his gig bag.

WOW WOW WOW!
That was an astoundingly astute, crystal clear, short and to the point statement about the good of free market capitalism and the evil of collectivism. Man, that was powerful.
If only he could have that same debate with Obama…

Cherry picking; and old ones at that. If I were standind in this barefoot it is so shallow it wouldn’t cover my toes.
Not to diminish Milton Friedman; heard him in person, even met him briefly. Ditto his son David, another impressive economist in his own right. Never met or heard Mrs. Friedman speak (another economist).
From what I know of the work of all three of them, Mitch might actually prefer David Friedman’s theories over his father’s work.
Most interesting item in this vein I encountered today (prior to resuming my peruse of neuroeconimc material) was about Daniel Kahneman, who won the 2002 Nobel prize for economics. Kahneman started out as a psychologist back in the mid 1950s, using his training to help more scientifically select potential officers for the Israeli military who would perform well in combat. He has since moved on to do some very insightful pioneering work in the field of behavioral economics, which draws on his earlier background.
Much newer and more applicable stuff than the musty old Friedman clip.
