Behold the next generation of “progressive” women.
And be afraid for our society. Be very afraid.

See Mitch, here’s your problem in interpreting this controversy…
“Art”, is only supposed to be installed in such a way as to shock the rubes in flyover country and the lovers of the fictional character Jeebus in the American South from their bourgeois suburban lifestyles. When “Art” is inflicted on the enlightened young wymyn (vowels are sooooh patriarchal) who might attend such an august, feminist forward, Northeast institution like Wellesley they appropriately react by having the vapors, fainting spells and needing to be treated for hysteria. The cure should not pose a problem, as I would imagine around that campus there are plenty of vibrato… Sorry probably not allowed to write that word here on your backwards, hick, though regionally prominent, Midwestern blog.

By Democrat definition, Wellesley is a sexist college! Where is the ACLU?

Perhaps they would be appeased if the statue was made into a drinking fountain for all to enjoy, thereby subjugating the male portrayed by the work to a servant-like status. Or into a lawn sprinkler which could sustain green growth provided by Gaia. I’ve seen classic Italian statuary which was designed in a similar way.
