I used to call it the “clubbing baby seals” ride. We fought a MIG-21 threat with rear quarter AA-2D “Atoll” (think ancient AIM-9 heat seeker) only ordnance. If you stayed above .95 Mach, shot them in the face, and never turned, you could become an Ace with little fear of getting shot!
