Republicans are going to get real tough on spending. Real tough. Any day now. Really.

Just not today. Today, we cave . . . again

I don’t think “the establishment” – there, I said it – gets it yet. a full election cycle after winning entirely on the merits of people other than them.

Did you notice how all of the examples provided by Romney of businesses that were built by individuals who claimed they did it all themselves……every one relied on special loans or other funding from the government, and every last one built their businesses on government contracts? Yeah, so without that government, the projects, the agencies, the spending — ALL that BIG government that the right screams about so much — NOT ONE of those businesses would EVER have been built.

Of course, Mittens on R-money has taken a lot of government funding as well; he’s a total corporate welfare queen of the worst kind.

The right engages in fiscal responsibility the way that Tony Sutton and Michael Brodkorb ran the MN GOP into the ground, engaged in improper and illicit dealings that have gotten them in trouble, and of course shit on family values while claiming them as well.

WHY would you expect any change from the conservatives other than those which benefit special interests, big money, or the wealthy 1%?

In other words……..if you’re expecting them to do what they say they will do, they won’t. But they’ll dish out more corporate welfare, curtail more freedom – especially women’s reproductive choices, try to shove their narrow religion down your throat, gay bash, Muslim bash, and disenfranchise significant numbers of Minnesota legal voters.

Great accomplishments, if you only look at the talk, and not the reality. The GOP was directly responsible for the lowering of our government credit rating.

Great fiscal responsibility there. When is that MN GOP audit going to happen? And if it isn’t — how long until the secrets come out that they are trying to keep hidden? THAT could make a fun betting pool.

Anyone honest, transparent, and genuinely accountable would have had a real audit by someone independent and credentialed first thing, not try so hard to avoid one. MN GOP / national GOP — rotten to the core; and the tea partiers are as bad as any of them.

    DG, where’s your homework?

  3. Terry Says:

    tl;dr

  4. Scott Hughes Says:

For crying out load Doggie I didn’t see anywhere in the post OR the link that had anything to do with your dribble. In case you didn’t comprehend this discussion was about the “CONTINUING RESOLUTION”. You must be really deep into the fortified Kool Aid today. Or are you just practicing your Troll skils?

  5. Scott Hughes Says:

    Common Scott!! Loud not load!!

C’mon!!!! Sheesh!! I must be getting a little too riled up!! chuckle

    Mr. D = ROTFLMAO.

  10. Mr. D Says:

Yoss, full credit to Foot for that. He came up with the idea on another thread that Dog befouled.

  11. Mitch Berg Says:

    DG,

    Thread-jack. Rejected.

Your claim that “every single business” required some sort of government intervention flunks the stink test, and reeks of “gotten from some Media Matters flak who is buggering context with a pool cue”.

Debunking it would take time I really can’t spend on this very bushy private-sector work day – and there’s no evidence you’d read it anyway; I get the impression you view commenting on this blog like toilet-papering a house; a hit and run sort of thing.

  12. bosshoss429 Says:

Well, Dog Poop, at least there were some results of those investments, like employed people and taxes paid. Unlike the green energy follies that your Fuhrer Obumbler lost millions on by underhandedly and dishonestly giving those funds to libturd commies that contributed to his campaigns. I’m still trying to figure out his loans to a Finnish company, but, hey, he didn’t add as many people to the unemployment rolls with that one! And, you didn’t build your poop factory all by yourself, either!

  13. The Big Stink Says:

Going to war with DG is like the recurrence of a bad dream. You just can’t make the monster go away. As regards the stopgap spending, it was inevitable. That’s what the presidential election will resolve. If we win, we get to formulate a budget – remember what those are?

  14. Kermit Says:

Toilet-papering, or perhaps soaping the windows would be a better analogy.
Berg’s Seventh Law in full bloom.

  15. Adrian Says:

It is comforting to know that someone that writes the liberal mindset drivel that Dog Gone did visits this blog.

Perhaps, at some point, some clear common sense may just start to sink in.

  16. Adrian Says:

Oh, and those that built businesses (among all the hard working, tax paying men and women of this nation)….did, in fact, build them REGARDLESS whether or not they relied on government.

Guess what, we built the goverment too.

Government loans, grants, infrstructure…these are not some gift bestowed to us by government…WE foot the bill.

Correction: In SOME cases, certain government officials will “lend” half a bil to some solar panel company that not only has no chance of turning a profit let alone paying it back simply as payback for political imaging, and political favor only to fail and file bankrupcy…

…perhaps that was what Obama was talking about…

  17. Mitch Berg Says:

You just can’t make the monster go away.

Not quite right. You can’t make her stick around to defend her premises (or, more appropriately, retract them, as they inevitably come acropper).

  18. Terry Says:

I am convinced that DG just reads whatever drivel Soros has decreed to be this week’s talking point, and threadjacks SITD with this “opinion”.
Next time it might be “all teh conservatives are in teh lockstep”.

You write at Penigma, don’t you, hon?

Penigma believes Jews do not have a right of self-defense and have to withstand rocket attacks to prove they are still worthy in her eyes:

“When Israel takes this kind of action today, such as invading Gaza and knocking down buildings because rockets which did minimal damage fell on Israel, the interpretation by the rest of the world is that Israel is using hammers to kill ants. We find such conduct to be unethical when it is done by governments we don’t like, why would we, for that matter given Israel’s origin, why would Israel, want to be seen as the brutal, dictatorial state?”

Penigma accuses Romney of having a cabal of Jews who have dual loyalties because they support the survival of Israel; Penigma implies that if the Jews are threatened with annihilation, the guardians of democracy should shrug their shoulders like the United Nations did with the Rwandan genocides; Penigma libels the Jews with the accusation they are racist:

“And I can’t wait to see how many other foreign gaffes [Romney] makes; it should be particularly interesting to see what he does in Israel. A VERY LARGE number of his more militant neo-con advisers hold dual U.S. / Israeli citizenship, which raises the legitimate question as to where their loyalties ultimately reside. I think there is an excellent argument that the policies espoused by Mitts on R-money to date sublimate what is best for the United States to serving the interests of the more far right wing hard liners in Israel. That would argue for more conflict in the area, not less, and put us in the thick of it, militarily and financially. R-money favors treating Palestinians as second class citizens the way our own Jim Crow laws used to treat African Americans.”

    Anti-Semitic bitch.

  20. Terry Says:

    “sublimate”?

  21. bosshoss429 Says:

Apparently, the ignorance, stupidity and blatant hypocrisy of the twin beetches know no bounds. They conveniently ignore the fact that the commie mayor of Chicago and one of the Kenyan Clown’s most militant left wing slimeballs, Rahmbo Emmanuel holds dual citizenship between Israel and the US. But, once again, that’s OK. They also apparently miss the fact that the majority of Jews, for some unknown reason, are libidiots. When one considers how closely the lib agenda follows the doctrine of the Nazis, it boggles the mind how they can support it.

  22. Kermit Says:

Yes Terry, sublimate. That is the physical reaction of Canine Commenter’s brain cells seeping through the top of her skull. I would suspect it’s quite audible.

  23. K-Rod Says:

“…another nail in the coffin of the idea of Israel…” – Penigma

  24. Bill C Says:

If nothing else, DG is sinking further and further into the swamp of frenzied dementia populated by the left today. She is losing all pretense of rationality.

It’s nice to see the mask coming off and her true colors and personality making themselves known.
