Tomorrow: Beer, Fun, and Saving the Constitution

By Mitch Berg

Joel Rosenberg has sent a blanket invite to Second Amendment activists and anyone else who might be interested; come on down to Stub and Herb’s tomorrow at 6PM:

Pro-gun activists from all across the state will be meeting and sharing food, fun, and maybe a little bit of beer to talk how to move the ball forward over the next few years.

This past election was a setback for gun rights supporters – but it doesn’t have to be a fatal one. And it’s at get-togethers like this that we lay the real groundwork for keeping it that way.

I hope to see you there.

Believe it or not, I’ll be there–covering the event. I’ve stated before (many times) that I’m purely neutral on gun control–I think you gun fetishists might be a bit more enamored of the power of the gun than is warranted, but the squishy lefties on my side of the aisle are just as goofy about their power for eeeeevil.

At any rate, I’m curious to see what you guys are up to, and I promise to put together a fair and balanced write-up–and not in the FOX sense, either.

    Jeff,

A pleasure as always. But when you say…

I promise to put together a fair and balanced write-up

    …immediately after saying…

…you gun fetishists might be a bit more enamored…

…the first thing that comes to mind is that bit from Princess Bride; “I don’t think that word means what you think it means”. The word being “fair”, in this case.

As to “fetish”? Huh. Interesting choice.

And I suspect those of us who take shooting seriously are plenty familiar with our guns’ power.

About that coverage, Jeff – while I didn’t notice if you were there last night, I do see that your blog seems to be hors d’combat.
