Pouring Water Next To The Fire
By Mitch Berg
A friend of the blog emails:
Explain to me how adding more bureaucrats terrified of offending a DFL constituency will prevent fraud committed by a DFL constituency protected by the bureaucracy
I don’t think the governor or his staff read this space, so I will try to explain it.
It will work, because we are moving forward together as One Minnesota. with equity and reproductive rights for Minnesotans of all genders.
I may have the details wrong, but that’s what I remember from the campaign.

Minnesota adding more reprobates to a government overrun with reprobates isn’t going to help, but y’all are already fucked, so it’s just more of the same.
Of course, y’all have the choice of moving.
Pedo Joe’s handlers are filling the federal government with low IQ poverty pimps and professional victims. Pretty soon, the available option left to remove reprobates from our lives will be erecting barbed wire fences at state borders.
“Of the 97 judges confirmed by the Senate in the last two years, three quarters of them are women, and nearly half of the appointees — including Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson — are women of color.”
“And while most presidents pick from a pool of existing judges, government attorneys and lawyers in private practice, Biden has cast a wider net. About one-third of Biden’s confirmed judges have experience as public defenders and a dozen are former civil rights lawyers, according to the liberal group Alliance for Justice.”
It wouldn’t be possible to pick from a pool of non-White candidates who have proven their qualifications through career demonstrations of professional success; they are unicorns. But that’s not the real reason they’re picking poverty pimps and professional victims…
“That means that there are more federal judges who have seen the challenges in the court system for people with low incomes or who have experienced civil-rights or voting-rights violations, said Lisa Cylar Barrett, director of policy at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.”
https://news.bloomberglaw.com/us-law-week/biden-builds-judicial-legacy-with-diversified-federal-courts
Of the 97, 5 have been “White men”… and I include them as sharing our skin color, while excluding them from being among our people. Pedo Joe’s handlers are quite literally reaching into a bag of civilization destroyers and picking out the juiciest ones.
A majority of our major cities are led by non-Whites…mostly negros and at least 1/2 negro women. And that’s working out super.
Pedo Joe’s handlers are bringing that record of success to the federal judiciary. And I do mean success, because the faster these cognitively deficient, net negative contributors tear down the remaining shreds of Western civilization, the better.

I dunno… other than proposing this change or maybe halfheartedly implementing it, why do anything? Were the MN electorate (and counters of same) actually concerned about massive corruption by one party, why then did this same party acquire an out-and-out legislative majority together with the executive to go along with their bought and paid for supreme court?
I don’t understand… or maybe, in retrospect, now I do. I think Mitch’s explanation above is actually dead-on.

They’ll manage to burn up enough funding that it becomes a zero-sum game.
January 2nd, 2023 at 9:16 am
If Minnesotans were against defrauding state government, they would have voted Ellison & Walz out of office.

Blade, I work for a contractor to a fed agency. Same success there as well. Ability to successfully do the job is no longer relevant.

Once you are allowed to consider ethnicity or some other immutable characteristic in employment, that will soon become the ONLY distinction that matters.

The idea of protected classes of people was created by the feds in the 1960s (and later endorsed by legislation in the states). It has no constitutional basis. Indeed, the 14th amendment is supposed to guarantee equal protection of the law.
We have a constitution ratified in 1789 & since amended 24 times.
To be alive in 2023 is to be aware that this constitution is null and void. We live under a de facto authoritarian constitution that has been in effect since the 1960s. Virtually all of society’s institutions operate according to this de facto constitution.
Governor’s sign anti-gun laws that they know are unconstitutional, federal agencies issue guidance on race based hiring that not only clearly violate the 1789 constitution, but federal law.

I have a couple of comments here after reading the give and take below:
For those saying “watch your wallets”, why don’t you try putting together a slate in opposition to the DFL that makes sense? The DFL didn’t earn their monopoly, it was given to them by an incompetent Minnesota Republican Party that ran a bunch of unqualified candidates. Conservatives need to come up with something besides “cut my taxes”. A State does need to invest in itself — that takes taxes.
For those excited about total DFL control, here’s a warning. The DFL has got to do a better job of managing tax dollars, whether State or Federal. Every Minnesotan should be embarrassed to have the largest pandemic period fraud that took place. DFL oversight of tax dollars has been a mess with everything from DHS to MDE to the Met Council. And with now total DFL control, the responsibility rests solely with the DFL to do a better job.
Otherwise, things could be different in a few years. Just remember, you need productive people and productive businesses to generate State tax revenues to pay for all those wonderful State programs.
January 2nd, 2023 at 10:48 am
^^There is literally no reason for the DFL to follow Emery’s advice.
The DFL mismanaged corrupt agencies, and were rewarded by Minnesota voters with control of all of state level government.
January 2nd, 2023 at 10:54 am
productive people and productive businesses
nah, we don’t need them
our economy cannot expand based on white b plus minnesota born citizens
democrat governor dayton told us so
and told us to find another state to live in
good with me
democrats want immigrants from cultures that dont share our values
hard work and high taxes are for schmucks
day care scam
school lunch scam
thats what we need more of
to make minnesota suck again
and walz is right on track

Woolly’s doom and gloom is the very reason Republicans don’t win statewide office. Tell us your plan and how you will make it work. Doom and Gloom takes zero effort.
Republicans lost the election for several reasons, messaging being one of them. Honestly, “litter boxes in schools” was going to resonate with Minnesota voters? The State needs a strong Republican party based on principles and not a cult of personality and conspiracies.
January 2nd, 2023 at 11:11 am
I have no idea why Emery believes that I am a “doom and gloom” person.
Maybe because, unlike Emery, I believe in looking at empirical evidence?
It’s not “doom and gloom” to note that despite overseeing corrupt agencies and seizing one man rule-by-decree during covid, Walz was re-elected by a convincing majority of Minnesotans.
January 2nd, 2023 at 12:19 pm
i wonder if walz will appoint a panel full of somalis to guard the treasury

In Wisconsin, rural areas have avoided domination by the urban Democrat power centers of Madison and Milwaukee because townships and counties are more politically independent of the state than they are in MN, because our supreme court is marginally conservative, and because our state legislature has been gerrymandered by Republican legislatures.
When Evers tried to stack his 30 day emergency powers during covid, the Wisconsin supreme court slapped him down.
Not so in Minnesota with Walz’s power grab.
After the 2022, with congressional districts drawn by a GOP legislature, the state house and senate in Wisconsin remain in Republican hands with a near veto-proof majority.
This despite the fact the Wisconsin’s abortion laws are extremely restrictive, allowing abortion only to save the life of the mother.

“Tell us your plan and how you will make it work.”
Plan:
Wait until the degenerates finally hurt White Normie’s enough to wake them up.
Wash the land clean.
Then mop up the mess.
Make it work:
You’re with us, or against us. Your call.

^ Please start your own party and take your radicalized sycophants with you. Splitting the GOP would be your greatest achievement. Swiftee , party of losers — your table is ready.
January 2nd, 2023 at 9:03 pm
the gop is already split
fractured really
the libertarians want to strip down to constitutional government
the conservatives want to law and order to make america great again
the rinos want to go along to get along so they get invited to nice parties
nobody is pure enough for the other groups
nobody can stand up to the democrat media slander machine
and nobody can manufacture ballots like hennepin county
no danger of republicans losing because they split the party
the republican party is irrelevent in the age of ballot harvesting and ranked choice

I do have to give one Democrat some credit on an unaccountable bureaucracy that most of us on SiTD despise; the Met Council.
Just before Christmas, Senator Scott Dibble was on Channel 5, excoriating the leadership for the disaster that is the light rail system. I couldn’t believe that he actually said that the leadership needs to be elected by the voters. Yea. I know. Another batch of DemoCommie droogs, but he’s at least going public with, at least what appeared to be, genuine disgust for the wasted millions, unacceptable delays and lack of effective oversight. The reporter asked him if someone or multiple people be held accountable for the mismanagement and he replied; “Absolutely!”
I was so impressed with his stance, that I called his office. I told his staffer that although I wasn’t a constituent and was a Republican, I wanted to commend him and encourage him to keep after this. I also opined that he should find a few allies in his efforts across the aisle. I must also credit his staffer. She seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying and asked me some good questions, including my phone number. I actually encouraged her to have him call me. So far, he hasn’t, but I didn’t expect anything due to the holidays. I’ll keep you posted.
January 3rd, 2023 at 7:33 am
thanks for the news boss
that is the trouble with democrats
individually they may have sense but
collectively they vote lock step party line
you will definitely hear from the legislator in the future
his staff person has already added your name
to the mailing list of Friends of Legislator
who will receive begging letters
and email solicitations asking
for money to help defeat
those awful rotten
republicans

Same could be said for the GOP:
Kevin McCarthy facing uphill battle to become House Speaker ~ https://www.wsj.com/articles/house-prepares-to-vote-for-speaker-as-kevin-mccarthy-tries-to-rally-support-11672750973
This is all about Kevin McCarthy. He has demonstrated that he will do and say anything to get elected. No morals and no principles. If I was in Congress I’d be telling McCarthy that if he is too spineless to stand up to the lunatic caucus he loses my vote. Rock meet hard
The hard right wing of the GOP should nominate George Santos, he said he has been the speaker before and has experience.
January 3rd, 2023 at 7:49 am
emery you idiot
if republicans voted in lock step
mccarthy would not have to rally support
he would issue an edict and the troops would fall in line
see for example every single minnesota democrat defending lunch fraud
January 3rd, 2023 at 8:07 am
Say it ain’t so.
If McCarthy is not made speaker on the first day, this will delay the start of the endless investigations into Hunter Biden.
If McCarthy is chosen to be speaker, he has said that the Constitution would be read aloud every day the House is in session. It would take less time and be more meaningful if the members recited the oath of office daily, especially the Republicans.
January 3rd, 2023 at 8:17 am
“party of losers”
I see that Emery is off his meds again.
Republicans have veto proof majorities in 17 states, versus 9 for the Dems.
In 23 states the GOP controls both branches of the legislature and the governor’s office, vs. the democrats 14
The GOP controls the US house of representatives.
The Democrats have a one seat advantage in the senate.
Carry on with your “winning,” Emery.
January 3rd, 2023 at 8:54 am
GOP predicted a “Red Wave” in November. Looks more like light spotting..
I call that underperforming.

Lol….
Worrying about who speaks for a feckless bunch of self important, self serving tossers.
What is at stake?
Will DHS stop ferrying tens of thousands of illegal migrants across the border to free housing?
Will the treasury stop printing bales of fiat currency? Will we stop sending bales to a organized crime syndicate boss?
Will mutilating children be reinstated as a crime?
Will hundreds of political prisoners being held without bail be freed?
Will the chaos in major cities be quelled?
Will China stop flying warplanes over Taiwan?
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:10 am
no
red wave because
legitimate votes not counted
in a huge blue wave of fake ballots
proven by kari lake but nobody confessed
so there was no fraud in the conduct of the election
next time republicans are going to vote so much harder
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:12 am
On my wish list for the new congress is a new rule that the majority chooses who shall fill all minority-reserved committee positions.
Dems started this insanity, when they destroy congressional norms they need to have their noses rubbed in the mess they made, or they will never learn to respect the institution & the rights of others.
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:12 am
⬆️ You should switch up with a Pepe the Frog avi and continue talking about genetic superiority.
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:13 am
No. None of that will happen.
We are in for 2 years of select committee hearings, special prosecutors, profligate government spending, economic ruin and insane edicts from unnamed handlers of the senile buffoon in the White House.
Who fucking cares which monkey presides over the circus?
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:14 am
Does anyone know to what extent could the Democrats create a bit of mischief here by backing a second- or third-preference candidate from the Republican caucus.
January 3rd, 2023 at 9:15 am
The voting mess was entirely predictable and was predicted by myself here at SITD.
Many elections with questionable results on election day, recount after recount, with the winner being the party with enough allies in the judiciary to keep counting till they are in the lead, then stop counting.
All done to supposedly improve confidence in “our democracy.”

The NY Times has just signed David French as an op-ed columnist.
But he’s not a grifter.
Funny how all these guys who set out to save conservatism from itself end up writing for the NY Times & voting for Democrats.

When I moved back to the Midwest, I thought I’d take up fishing so I got a license & a kit.
But it turns out the part of fishing I like is sitting on the riverbank, not actually catching anything. That’s too messy & cruel, what with driving a steel hook through a minnow’s spine. A cousin suggested I use a rapala, but those things are too wicked, with pairs of treble hooks. I figured if it didn’t tear the guts out of a fish, one of those hooks would end up in my thumb, sooner or later.
Solution? Cut the hooks off the rapala. I call it faux-fishing, or fish-o-rama.
But the state still makes me buy a fishing license.

New Twitter files from Taibbi.
https://twitter.com/mtaibbi/status/1610372352872783872
Long story short: in 2017, Hillary Clinton & the Dems (Se. Mark Warner) went after Twitter claiming that its Russian-run bot accounts had cost her the election. Twitter looked carefully and banned a few dozen accounts with a total ad buy of < $10k. Warner, Hillary and the Dems insisted they keep looking until they found enough accounts to justify their claim that Twitter & other social media had cost her the election.
Taibbi:
30.“REPORTERS NOW KNOW THIS IS A MODEL THAT WORKS”
This cycle – threatened legislation, wedded to scare headlines pushed by congressional/intel sources, followed by Twitter caving to moderation asks – would later be formalized in partnerships

Reminder: ” First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
So what law were congressional democrats operating under when they demanded that Twitter abridge its users freedom of speech?

At one point the feds tried to throw suspicion on US accounts that followed foreign accounts:
11.The GEC report appeared based on DHS data circulated earlier that week, and included accounts that followed “two or more” Chinese diplomatic accounts. They reportedly ended up with a list “nearly 250,000” names long, and included Canadian officials and a CNN account:
Clearly the US is no longer a constitutional democracy, at least not at the federal level.

UMMP, all that shit should enrage free men. But there ain’t many of them around.
There is nothing that will raise the outrage of the US male sheep that doesn’t threaten his stuff.
They’ll trade their “freedom”, because they don’t have any. They will trade their balls, because they don’t have any of those either.
But touch that sheep’s F150 or his 72″ teevee, and its on.

Trump continues to destroy his own Republican Party as predicted (“If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed…….and we will deserve it.”)
by candidates in the GOP 2016 presidential primaries. The party is completely in a shambles, with McCarthy unable to decide whether to follow other Trump conspiracy theorists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz over the cliff. But on the other hand, even noted intellectual Lauren Boebert, whose mind is about as perspicacious as Greene’s, is against McCarthy.
Their infighting is the Trump train wreck we’ve been seeing since they started losing elections in 2018, and all the Democrats need to do is stand back and watch it happen. I can’t imagine Republican voters are impressed with this clown show.
