If true, CTE must be a communicative disease that’s easily transferred to younger siblings.

Maybe if McVeigh was in the Gulf War . . . oh, wait, he was.
Every liberal that has ever talked to me about McVeigh has said that he was motivated by fundamental Christian beliefs.

My colleague mused along similar lines, but in reverse, asking “why do terrorists prefer bombs?” My answer is that “we call bombers terrorists.” ;^)

I think terrorists who don’t care if they live or die choose bombs. Those things aren’t easy to make safely (ask Bill Ayres).
One of the scary things about the Boston bombing was that it was done so badly. Hundreds of people with cameras, taking pictures and videos. Dozens of first responders nearby, and first class hospitals with trauma units just minutes away.

And it was a target rich environment for a knowledgeable and skilled bomb maker. Amateurs…
