Today’s Joke Is Tomorrow’s Pitched Battle?

This is on the façade of the former uptown theater Dash the long beloved, offbeat art house theater that was a victim of the pandemic, and, perhaps more so, what Minneapolis has become.

“Transtifa”.

Will they be getting into a war with “Anti-“Fa? And will “Anti”-Fa Now I have to change them to “CisFa”, Or risk losing its Progressive cred?

It’s sort of reminds me of the old joke; Q: if the hair-metal bands Poison and Cinderella got into a flamethrower fight, who would win? A: The world.

  1. Laugh if you will — but, as I have foreseen, the lawlessness and crime of Minneapolis and Saint Paul is pushing out into the ‘burbs. This will continue until the criminals enter a jurisdiction with a DA who is hard on crime.

  2. Been seeing reports from Deephaven and Maple Grove of carjackings.

Waiting on that DA. Any ol’ time here.

  3. BTW, this is literally the top line of the web page of Hennepin county attorney Michael Freeman:
In 2017, we successfully prosecuted two cases against racists: A jury found Allen Scarsella guilty of shooting and wounding five men who were peacefully protesting outside the 4th Precinct police station and he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. In a separate case, Anthony Sawina was also found guilty and was sentenced to 39 years in prison for shooting at five young Muslim men in a car in Dinkytown.

Later Freeman brags about putting a cop in jail for kicking a suspect.

Good luck to y’all in Hennepin County. You get the government you choose.

  4. Michael Freeman could be the poster child for “limosuine liberal.”
Freeman was raised and educated in Minneapolis before moving to the Washington, D.C. area when his father joined the cabinet of President John F. Kennedy. He is a graduate of Maryland’s Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School.[2] Freeman received a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University in 1970 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1974.[3] He is the son of Jane Shields and Orville Freeman, who was a Minnesota governor and U.S. Secretary of Agriculture under presidents Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson.[4]

  5. I’ve got a real radical idea for you conservative Minnesotans.

Why not grab some gloves, solvent, brushes and rags, jump into your winter beaters and go wash that shit off the wall?

And why not wash all the shit off all the walls you see on the way?

    Who’s gonna stop you?

  6. How many people do you suppose are actively involved in carjackings? It can’t be just two people – Bonnie and Clyde – doing it all. But it can’t be 10,000 people involved, there aren’t that many cars being stolen.

Would it be fair to guess 200 dedicated car thieves over the metro area?

How many of them would vigilantes have to shoot and leave lying in the street before the rest got discouraged and the carjacking rate dropped to zero?

  7. Many legal professionals have proven they aren’t worthy in the recent past, include Freeman. His dad has a building dedicated to him in St Paul. On it’s walls are quotes that reveal just how big a fool he was, and Minnesotans elected him governor.

  8. I will not praise HHH other than to say he made his political career by kicking limo-marxists like Freeman out of the DFL.

  9. Thinking back to the Spanish Civil War, the Communists, Anarchists, and S(not allowed by the spam filter)s formed the Popular Front. Once they came to power, the Comms started arresting the Socs, and the Anarchists started burning churches and seminaries.

And then Franco said, “Enough of this crap.”

  10. MP and Mitch:
Not a car jacking, but goes to MP’s point of crime moving to the burbs.
Two of my customers live in Orono. There have been several cars broken into in Long Lake over the past couple of months. Left wing media silent.

  11. Bill, regarding your 8:14: people trying that with blm paintings got arrested, and for hate crimes no less.

Just move out of lefty s holes, there is no way to win there now.

  12. The crime wave in the twin cities and other woke-lefty run locales has a known solution: arrest the bad guys. This has been a proven solution, both in theory and in practice. Take the criminals off the street and crime goes down.
The idea that the roots of crime lie in poverty or centuries of political and economic repression is question — begging. You can’t prove it, liberals are always going on about the crimes committed by the wealthy. If it is bad that white collar criminals get a slap on the wrist for embezzling, why is it not bad for a strong arm robber to get away with his crimes?
You can not reason a people out of a position they did not reason their way into.

  13. Yep, enforce the laws and set higher bail requirements. Otherwise you might have a guy charged with running his girlfriend down with his SUV getting out on low bail and being free to rampage through a holiday parade in his SUV a week later, killing 6. Theoretically.

  14. NW, or a 15-yo protesting with an AR on camera against possession charges being dropped against a person who was legally in a possession of a firearm. Or a defendant who was illegally in possession of a firearm not being charged with a felony. Hypothetically and theoretically of course.

  15. Regarding Swiftee’s suggestion, I do believe that if I tried to clean graffiti off private property, I’d need to at least ask permission, which might not be granted. Not everybody clues in that letting their neighborhood look like H*** is a great way to have criminals treat it like H*** as well.

Then you get surveillance systems to watch who’s breaking into cars. Sorry, I don’t think you get to shoot them until they break into your home.

  16. Joe,
To your comment at 10:34 yesterday, I heard, from a very reliable source, that Brandon “supporters” were bussed to DCTC by the Commies at the MN DFL. They were still outnumbered by the group of patriots protesting him. Among them, a group of nurses and other medical workers, protesting against the mandates. One nurse was quoted saying that all of them had witnessed the adverse effects of the bug juice.

  17. Tell me again, why should I take the jab?

“America’s second case of Omicron variant is detected in fully vaccinated Minnesota man who recently returned from 50,000-strong anime convention in NYC and fell ill on November 22.”

  18. And in the meantime:
