Absolute Moral Authority
By Mitch Berg
I wonder if these kids will get lionized and treated as the authorities that David Hogg has?
Survivors of a Colorado school shooting walked out of a vigil for their slain classmate Wednesday night in protest of politicians and other groups using it as a platform for gun control, a local report said.
The students from STEM High School, where two gunmen killed a student and wounded eight others Tuesday, began yelling from the stands that they “wanted to be heard” after two politicians and pro-gun control advocates addressed the crowd, according to the local NBC affiliate, KUSA.
They then stormed out of the vigil after Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet and Democratic Congressman Jason Crow addressed the crowd, the Denver Post reported.
The kids chanted “Mental health” and hurled expletives at the media, according to the report.
And I don’t know about you, but suddenly I”m feeling kind of proud:
“What has happened at STEM is awful. But it’s not a statistic. We can’t be used as a reason for gun control. We are people, not a statement,” one student said, according to video by KUSA.
Speaking of the lone fatality, 18-year-old Kendrick Castillo, another student added, “We wanted Kendrick to be mourned. We wanted all of you to join us in that mourning, but that was not allowed here. We all walked out. We were not kicked out.”
This nation needs fewer tragedies.
But if we had more of this kind of moral courage, we’d have a great start.

Of course, some ignorant Moms Demand Action twit was there and opened her yapper the most. They have refused to apologize.
I’m proud of those students, too. They know the real cause of these tragic incidents is mentally unstable people. In this case, an anti-Trump lesbian and a transgender thing.
I’ve been waiting to hear this part of the story from the left wing media, which, I’m sure will happen any minute now.
Sometimes, I just crack myself up!

It really seems like this is one of the lesser (or not) spoken of aspects of the leftist assault on the culture: that it is, in all aspects, morally superior to be a victim, even in the midst of life-threatening situations. I’m happy to see young (smart) people opposing this.

STEM school students. Science Technology Engineering and Math.
The politicians and activists must have assumed they were at a standard ACNE school – Angst, Communism, Neutering and Emotions.

And of course Uncle Joe is in full Narrative mode. He’s claiming that the anti-gun control side continues to offer no ideas besides “prayers.” Apparently he not only cannot hear all the actual solutions from the other side, but he also can’t hear his own side scream and shout against those solutions.
The good news is that he can now run to be America’s First Deaf President.

FYI everyone these arent millenials, these are Gen Z teens. GHen Z is supposed to be much more conservative and free market based than my idiot millenial socialist generation. There might be hope for the future of this country after all

It’s heartening to see young people, by walking out, telling the Brady Bunch to take a long walk off a short pier. And it’s telling that nobody organizing the event appears to have had a clue that aspiring engineers–people who will grow up to solve problems for a living–might have that view of the Brady Bunch. We are talking about people who apparently were so sequestered in their liberal arts dormitories that they never figured out that those in majors where there were right and wrong answers might think differently from them.

Right, and judging from the pictures, not a school that awards EEOC placement; hence a marked lack of leftist serfs.
Any of the kids that are accepted to Yale from STEM will have full rights to look down their noses at young Mr. “mercy award” Hogg.

The kids are alright. At least at this school.

Gen Z to the rescue. Their mantra should be “fixing and restoring the credibility of young people because millenials destroyed it.”

Yay for Gen Z! From one of the Boomers that didn’t eff things up for the youngin’s.

Worth noting in the STEM case:
* one perp is transgender
*the daughter of an illegal immigrant with multiple deportations and felony convictions
*both perps stole their weapons
…..but of course, if we do “common sense gun laws”, that will all stop. Build.The.Wall and ban.sanctuary.cities.

Nice collection of all the idiosyncrasies with this STEM shooting and Why the Media Suddenly Lost Interest in the Latest School Shooting
