Tea Leaves
By Mitch Berg
I’m just a schlub with a blog, so my predictions are worth what you’re paying for them…
…but I’m gonna go out on a limb and guess that Kendall Qualls isn’t the last person who’s going to throw their hat in the ring for Govenror this cycle.

Gosh, good link. AlphaNews and CrimeWatchMpls. Stanek’s comments about Walz’ apparent apathy regarding crime aren’t just political BS. I don’t know the rules, but governors do appoint some judges – CWM notes this whenever they can (for example).
Would it be better if Stanek were to run for AG?

“How many innocent souls have to be lost before elected leaders will start listening and take preemptive action?”
“Innocent souls” Oh, please.
Yeah, Stanek is just the guy you need to lead you out of the darkness, into the light.

While I don’t believe a JD is required to be AG, I suspect most voters will think it’s a nice to have.
As to him as governor? I don’t pick a horse in this race this early.

Most voters (apparently) thought Biden was a nice, middle-of-the-road guy too.
I don’t think you need to make decision about GOP governor candidates until the caucuses or the primary.

I would think it would be in the best interests of MN Republicans to have a credible candidate to challenge Walz.

I’m a pessimist, but I would hope that Stanek knows his “scandal” from the past will be dredged up and trumpeted by the left. He may be a perfectly nice guy and does have obvious leadership bona fides, but elected political office in this state will not happen again. He MAY have a chance for HennCo Sheriff (but for his support of Trump) since Hutch is in his own mess. Statewide? No way.
