Shot in the Dark

This Is A Test

Ever since the retirement of Phyllis Kahn for being too moderate for her crazy-left district in Minneapolis, it’s seemed fairly plain – no matter what happens in Minneapolis politics, the drift will be the left.

So this post is both a test of my theory, and a prediction.

Alondra Cano is leaving office.

Now, you know me. I have never come to praise Cano, but to try to bury her in ridicule.

But here’s my prediction: she will be replaced by someone who makes her look like Phyllis Schlafly in comparison.

UPDATE: Hardly seems possible this was five years ago, already. It may be my favorite post title in the history of this blog.

    Cano will start a “non-profit” organization that will survive off yummy tax dollars. Those tasty grants will provide excellent coffee and pastries in the break room and pay for some nice meals with clients (supporting local businesses!). However, other than for the members of this “non-profit” there will be no appreciable positive effect on anyone in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, or even Minnesota.

    Not a non-profit. NGO’s don’t, as a rule, have defined benefit retirement plans. She is headed for the education bureaucracy.
    Minneapolis (and Minnesota) are democracies. The voters there get what they deserve.

    Phyllis Kahn was not retired for being too moderate. She was cashiered for being too white, and too traditionally American.

    Sooner or later, Merg, I suspect you’ll notice the crowd growing around the Truth, and have an epiphany..but obviously not today. There’s a lot of ingrained indoctrination to get through for some, but most will manage to dig their way clear.
