Hope Walz – a 25 year old reportedly working as some kind of social worker – on the Mamdani election:

“The top 1% that exploit all of us down below?”  

She’s been the child of a Congressional representative or governor since she was five years old, and has had every form of access, power and privilege imaginable.  

Like Mamdani himself – not to mention most “revolutionaries” – she’s is a “One Percenter”.  

Now, if there’s a field that’s worse than teaching when it comes to requiring lots of paper credentials to advance, or hold a job, it’s social work -and Ms. Walz has decided that graduate school is a form of privilege and won’t be attending.

Which means she’s going to be going for a “job” in “public service”, doesn’t it?

    Hope lies and says the top 5% won’t leave NYC.
    I guess Mr. Szypula had never seen Escape from NY. There are oh so many ways to keep 5%ers in NYC, like taxing them 200% for leaving for example. And then putting them under house arrest and providing brownshirt escort everywhere they go lest they decide to cross the border to CT. Remember, soviet border existed to keep people in, not out. Been there done that. Mamdani is not effing around…

    Since the foreign born communist won the primary, I’ve seen at least twenty videos of former residents of the Soviet bloc countries and Cuba, laughing at New Yorkers for being stupid enough to jump on that bandwagon, while expressing how bad of an idea government run anything is. I mean, I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I know that I fully trust my government to source the meat and produce that ends up in the stores. 😂

    I love the Narrative that Mamdani is an immigrant that has had to overcome adversity to get to where he is.
    Mamdani’s father is a Harvard Educated professor at Columbia who’s job provided the family with University owned housing. His mother is an Oscar nominated film directed with her own movie studio company and who had Denzel Washington in one of her productions before they even moved to America. That all sounds pretty privileged to me.

    Tim Walz as previously reported that he owns no real assets on his financial disclosure forms. He doesn’t own a house, and his and Gwen’s privately held financial accounts are relatively normal. As people have pointed out, their various public sector pension plans do not need to be disclosed on those reports.

    Mamdami is in a bit of a similar situation, though he doesn’t have as many pensions lined up so far, though he’s working on that. Mamdani is a proud renter, because that’s the life of an average New Yorker. He does report owning some land…overseas in Africa.

    I will give Tim Walz more credit than Mamdani when it comes to pre-government work. Zohran worked as a Housing Counselor for a few years before getting into Government. Walz spent more time than that as a teacher (and National Guardsman). Teacher is definitely more of a job than Housing Counselor.

    Walz was a teacher in Mankato. That’s Teacher’s Retirement Association pension.

    Walz was a Representative to Congress from Minnesota’s First District. That’s a Congressional Pension.

    Walz was in the National Guard. That’s a military pension.

    Walz was Governor of Minnesota. That’s a state-government-run retirement account.

    Walz will qualify for Social Security when he retires. That’s a federal retirement program.

    He’s already a quintuple dipper. Why would he need investments?

    He doesn’t need investments. The point is that none of those pensions or their estimated value is reportable. So while he’s slated to retire better off than almost all Americans, he can claim to be a regular joe that doesn’t even own a house. He’s in no way shape or form one of the Elite, because he doesn’t have multiple residences or hundreds of millions of dollars sitting in the bank. Instead, he’s got that equivalent value in pensions that will only go up in value based on inflation and which are guaranteed by the government. Heck, when he retires, he’ll probably get a pay raise.

    I’m betting that Walz has stashed a butt ton of money through his wife and kids. That’s how Democrats funnel campaign money back into their families. They just “hire” them to do mundane campaign related tasks. Mad Maxine, Bernie Sanders, Fauxcahontas, Nancy Pelosi and Ilhan Omar, who took it to the extreme. She married one of the people that runs aspects of her campaign.

    Miss Walz is one of those who is very confident in her opinion, and will not let actual data interfere with her views. I seem to remember Thomas Sowell and Walter Williams pointing out about 30 years ago that if you could flat out confiscate the wealth of the top 1%, it would hardly make a dent in the deficit.

    I would like to say that the rising of people like Hope Walz bodes well for the GOP and conservatism in general, but the Democrats and progressives have been spouting off progressive nonsense for an awful long time without paying a huge price at the polls. Like it or not, ignorant and stupid people vote.
