Walter Hudson asks a great question:
Once I get Juan and Goncalvo to cough up the money…

What are you doing with your cut from the illegals?

I want to get a new bicycle. Looking eagerly forward to getting my cut!
If we look up moron, idiot, clueless and/or brainless in the dictionary, the definitions will be the same; 98% of elected DemoCommies.
I would have asked her for the proof that they are all paying taxes.
Note the rhetorical trick of being really serious almost to the point of anger when spouting nonsense.
That said, I need a ruling. Where do legal immigrants fit in this? Are they taking advantage of the illegal immigrants too?
Okay, yes, I’ll put my hand up to that. I did make money off illegal aliens. But it was only once, and it wasn’t really my fault.
See, there was a bad wind storm in the Midway area about 25 years ago. Shingles blew off my roof and my buddy, the roofing contractor, gave me a great price while working through the insurance company. When the crew arrived, they all spoke Spanish except one guy, the foreman, who thought he could speak English but was mistaken. Didn’t matter, the guys knew what they were doing and there was No Way that I was going up there (2-story, steep pitch roof).
They got the entire thing done in record time and cleaned up quite a bit of the mess. I got the rest of the roofing nails in the yard with a borrowed metal detector plus found 72 cents so I turned a tidy profit on that deal.
Some might question how I know the roofers were illegals. The contractor told me the scam (not unique to his company, he learned it from his former employer, it’s endemic in the industry).
Juan sneaks over the border and comes to live with Pedro, his cousin in South St. Paul, who lives here more-or-less legally. Juan goes to the Secretary of State and file Articles of Organization to form a Limited Liability Company. Juan, LLC then “subcontracts” with my buddy as Independent Contractor who supposedly carries his own medical insurance and pays his own taxes. In reality, Juan pays no taxes and uses the Emergency Room for his medical care. He goes back to Mexico for the winter. Next Spring, he returns but this time he forms a different company under a different name, maybe Santa Maria LLC. Subcontract, pay nothing, winter at home, rinse, repeat.
Everybody does it. Everybody knows it. Nobody does anything about it because there’s no big fish to generate headlines, merely a whole bunch of guys working hard doing jobs Americans won’t do for such crappy wages.
So yeah, I benefitted from illegal aliens. Once. But there wasn’t much I could do about it to avoid it. That’s how the entire industry runs. If I had demanded a different company paying $50 an hour with full benefits, the insurance company wouldn’t have covered it, I would have had to pay the difference between illegal labor and legal labor.
I can’t afford to be legal.
Now that was interesting, Big guy. Thanks. I noticed you addressed the “they pay billions (in taxes)” part too.
I am sending my cut to Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services, so they can bring in even more illegals.
Think of it as doubling down on an investment.
If I let it go long enough, maybe I can hire Elon Musk as a pool boy.
Big Guy.
Yup. Come to think about it, I did, too.
In the summer of 2016, I had my house resided, with new soffits and gutter. There were three Hispanic men that did the work. I have a two story house, too. It was really hot during the last week and the contractor told me on Monday that the crew would probably only work until about 1:00, due to the heat. No problem. Every morning, I put out a big cooler full of ice, with water and Gatorade for them and left my garage doors open and put some big fans in there. They did a great job. On Thursday, the crew leader told me they would be finished early afternoon. I told him that I would have dos cervesas for each of them for when they finished. I didn’t find even the smallest trimmed piece in the yard.

I feel like an utter fool. Last time we had our house re-roofed in 2003, I paid for it out of my own pocket, and hired former 1280 advertiser Hackbarth Roofing (who made a point of advertising an all legal citizen crew…..but maybe that’s why he went out of business….)
Dammit.
She must be fun to hang out with…ick. What a pompass, classic, white-women DFLeftist.
