C’mon man, don’t be so harsh.

Journalism is the domain of 23 year old’s, living on daddy’s money in Brooklyn. It is not about what they know, it is about what they don’t have to know.

If Jackson is not certain that she is a woman how can she be sure that she is black?

    MP,

Whether one can be considered black is not up to the individual, rather it is the province of left-wing activists and “journalists”.

So, for instance, Clarence Thomas is NOT black, even though he may identify as such.

But let us not be fooled into thinking that blackness is a binary thing. Like gender, it is fluid and runs the spectrum. Therefore others who think they are black, are in reality, not black enough.

As the career of Shaun “Talcum X” King demonstrates.

Thurgood Marshal was a Negro. Clarence Thomas is an Uncle Tom. So the tweet is accurate as far as Woke terminology goes. Ketanji is intersectional: clueless as to gender, possessing a fake African name as well.

Looked up the name “Ketanji”, and it appears to be Hindi, not Swahili or other African languages. So I guess her name is “black” in the same way “Little black Sambo” was, and we might joke that if a tiger comes to DC, the Supreme Court will have plenty of ghee. And like Clarence Thomas, she’s married to a white person.

That noted, I’m thinking that Marshall, who graduated from an HBCU, and Thomas, who grew up speaking Gullah, are at least as authentically black as Jackson.

Pretty bad that any journalist who covers the courts missed this.

JBJ — composed, calm and collected is how she came across in her Senate hearings. Polar opposite of Kavanaugh. I hope she lives a long productive life and leads a future court of brilliant judges.

Ha! Typical f-ing Emery, the biggest liar on SiTD, canonizes a verified liar on the January 6 clown committee. She should be tried, convicted and imprisoned for lying to congress. Oh! Wait! This illegal bunch of swamp members of congress, have been lying from before the “committee” was formed.

Well, one would hope that a judge would be able to answer the question “what is a woman?” Jackson can’t do that, even though she says she is, in fact, a woman.

^ Remember — Trump’s people prefer to testify second-hand, via Twitter, minus all those tedious ‘on penalty of perjury’ formalities.

Until Ornato testifies under oath, nothing he says carries any weight whatsoever. Maybe the other Secret Service agent in the vehicle can testify also.

Here is the description of things Ornato told the committee at his January interview.

    I guess they have MAGA.

Let Mr. Ornato be sworn in and answer under oath. This won’t be the only question they will ask him. Either he was bragging in front Ms Hutchinson and now realizes he’s in trouble or he’s a liar like his former boss.

Well, Emery, the secret service agents have offered to testify and Michael Stenger was supposed to, but mysteriously, he dies the night before he’s supposed to. Fortunately, the internet is forever, so his Zoom testimony on February 21, stating that the people that caused the trouble in the capital, were “paid agitators.” Of course, the clown posse can’t have any truth. Funny, why hasn’t Piglosi and Bowwow Bowser been called in to testify? Again, they would be under oath, so when they got done lying their asses off, AGAIN, they could be arrested.
Ms. Cassidy was obviously so upset over January 6, that later that month, she announced that she would be going to Florida to work on Trump’s team. Unfortunately, she wasn’t on that list. Now, she’s a scorned woman, lying like a pig in shit.
Finally, traitor Lizzy Cheney, further blew the liar’s credibility by giving her a hug. How sweet! She wasn’t hugging anyone else.

Why are we allowing a threadjack regarding Hutchinson?

Really, if we must indulge it, the only story that matters regarding the Jan. 6 committee is that Nancy Pelosi did not allow the opposition party to appoint the people they wanted to the committee, but rather appointed only members who had voted to impeach Trump. Hence there is no plausible, serious cross examination going on. The process is designed to enable perjury.

Hence every day, the story should be “Democratic Kangaroo Court Continues.” And to bring it back on topic, layers and layers of gatekeepers and fact-checkers ought to insist on that, and it’s a shame they don’t.

Regarding the allegation in particular, I’d actually be surprised if the design of “The Beast” and Secret Service guidance for protecting the President allowed Trump to be in a position where he could grab the steering wheel. And if I’m right, shame on those who have actually been in “The Beast” for not pointing this out.

Probably shouldn’t have, Bubba, but the ship kinda sailed on this thread. Our resident troll introduced two names; KBJ and Our Lady of Hearsay, which is (a) advanced trolling technique and (b) almost always effective. KBJ is a subject of the post, so it’s difficult to justify nuking his comment. But your observation is noted and appreciated.

I’ll certainly be happy to hear testimony from Ornato and Engel, and then we can compare their versions of the conversation they had with Ms. Hutchison.

For now, what’s undisputed is that they did have such a conversation; they did tell her that Trump had become very angry in the SUV, and he did try to make the agents drive him back to the capitol. Only the claim that Trump got physical with the agents and tried to grab the steering wheel is contested. The President of the United States of America tried to (allegedly) wrestle the steering wheel from his Secret Service bodyguard. What a time to be alive.

But her other testimony was not hearsay, and she did witness quite a bit. It’s far more important that Trump tried to order the metal detectors removed from his speech, even though he knew they’d been stopping people from bringing guns, knives, and other weapons in, because he knew the mob was on his side. The fact that he knew they were armed, but tried to make it possible for them to keep their weapons is jaw-dropping. A far more important issue…

  25. bosshoss429 Avatar
    bosshoss429

Jesus Christ, Emery, you are dumber than a box of rocks. Everything she said is hearsay and she can not prove it. The Secret Service agents have already debunked it and I guarantee you that it would have been very hard for Trump to even get close to the driver, let alone grab the steering wheel. When it comes to Trump, hear say is gospel to you left wing bottom feeders. He is living rent free in not only your head, but the heads of the kangaroo court and millions of other morons in the DemoCommie party.

  28. bikebubba Avatar

Emery, if Hutchinson wasn’t in “the Beast”, every last bit of her testimony about what happened there is hearsay, and since Pelosi screened the panel members for their view on Trump already, there is no effective cross examination, even if one could trust Congress-critters to do a decent job of it.

This is the kind of thing that happens when you have unethical Democrats controlling the House of Representatives, and moronic or unethical journalists who don’t call them on their kangaroo court. Same basic thing went on with the Brett Kavanaugh hearings; all the warnings that would have been like raw meat in front of any good defence lawyer were ignored by the media. Really, the same goes for the Clarence Thomas hearings.

And really, even Republicans who opposed Trump and voted to impeach him ought to recognize this fix. “Hey, I’m on your side, but excluding advocates for the opposition is rhetorical ‘Calvin-Ball’. Well, actually, I’m not on your side anymore after this stunt of yours.” should have been their response.

Huh, why is it that the media give this pass only to unethical Democrats? It’s almost like a fix is in.

It turns out the committee had the testimony of the actual secret service people involved in these incidents.
The committee did not question these agents in front of the cameras — gee, I wonder why?
I feel sorry for the people watching these hearings. The Jan 6 committee is trying its best to make the hearings look like a trial — but a trial where no defense is allowed.
Man, that is bad. You could pick any name out of the phone book, and give me and my friends the power to put them on trial with no defense allowed, and I could make that person look guilty of ANYTHING. I could call “witnesses” who were paid to testify that the defendant had acted as high priest at Black Sabbaths where children were sacrificed to the devil.
Given that Biden is polling so poorly against Trump — negative by 4 points in the latest polls — the Dems are in pant-wetting terror at the thought that Trump will run against Biden in 2024. That is the sole reason for these hearings, they hope to get a criminal deferment against Trump that will disqualify him from running against Biden in 2024.
The committee is partisan politics all the way to the bottom.

One other important point — members of the committee should have been chosen by both parties, with cross examination of witnesses. The GOP should have participated, this is 100% on Kevin McCarthy.

Being blocked from participation by Nancy Pelosi, does not constitute a decline to participate.

As for those who refused to testify, it is not unusual to balk upon being summoned to a star chamber.

From Emery’s link to the most trusted name in news, CNN:

according to two Secret Service sources who say they heard about the incident from multiple agents, including the driver of the presidential SUV where it occurred.

So what we have is hearsay, based on hearsay, being used to buttress hearsay.

    Humbug.
McCarthy picked five congressmen to represent the GOP on the committee. Pelosi rejected 2, giving no reason. McCarthy then pulled the plug on GOP participation. The pair of GOP reps on the committee, Cheney and Kinziger, were selected by Pelosi.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kevin-mccarthy-jan-6-committee-picks-removed-pelosi-rejects-jim-jordan-jim-banks/
Emery apparently believes that a prosecutor choosing who will be a defendant’s lawyer is fair.
Pelosi probably rejected Republicans Jordan and Banks because they objected to the 2020 electoral college count.
Jamie Raskin (D Maryland) objected to the electoral college count in 2017, but he remains on the committee.
This committee is a lousy joke, it is a shame that the MSM is treating it as a serious undertaking. The MSM is failing the American people once again.
You know what would be great? If the networks began their coverage of the Jan 6 hearings with a montage of all the Democrat politicians proudly announcing that they objected to the 2017 electoral college count because the vote totals could not be trusted.

2 McCarthy decides to oppose anyways; nearly all Republicans vote no
3 Democrats can’t break Senate filibuster
    4 Pelosi forms committee
5 McCarthy chooses to pick Republicans that would turn the committee into clownshow; Pelosi says f__ off

Well, this is just totally nuts. I mean, way out there in outer space.
It was Pelosi that turned the committee into a partisan clown show.
I note, correctly, that you do not have a fair investigation if one party picks all of the members on the committee, any more than you can have a fair trial if the prosecutor chooses who represents defense and which witnesses can be called.

Woolly — again no one talks so much, and says so little. You’ve turned gibberish into an art form.

Investigating the biggest assault on democracy in this country’s history? No that was too much for them, they had to bench themselves. McCarthy pulled out because that’s what Trump wanted. He didn’t get Trump’s sanctioned warriors, so he walked away like Trump does. Now in typical Trump fashion, it was a fail and it’s everybody else’s fault.

How could this be a partisan witch hunt, when pretty much every witness is from the Republican party and most worked in the Trump administration? It seems to me that the Republican gripes are just they don’t like what they are hearing. Well too bad, next time don’t elect a crook, a fraud and a liar who tries to override our laws and our Constitution to stay in power to represent your party.

    – Chicago Seven: William Kunstler refuses to put on a clownshow, instead opting for a shitshow.
    – O. J. Simpson Murder Case: Robert Shapiro, F. Lee Bailey, Alan Dershowitz, Robert Kardashian, Shawn Holley, Carl E. Douglas put on a shitclownshow.

Not in America. “Innocent until proven guilty” is as much hated by liberals as the constitution.
It is not my job to defend Trump. It is my job to point out that the hearings are corrupt, their purpose is not to expose the truth, it is to disqualify Trump from running in 2024 because the “defenders of our democracy” are terrified that people will actually vote him back into office.
Why? Because Biden is in a death spiral. He is utterly incompetent. People dislike Biden and hate his policies, because his policies have brough ruin upon America.
