Heather Martens has never once made a substantial, true statement about firearms or the Second Amendment.
Her testimony at the Minnesota House was more of the same: Martens claimed that silencers were “designed” to allow people to commit murder and get away with it.
Sure – in the same way that car mufflers were designed to allow hit-and-run drivers to sneak up on victims.

Did someone point out her falsehood to her face? It strikes me that if we’re going to put the kibosh on nonsense like she likes to peddle, she’s going to have to be humiliated publicly.
Is someone going to ask Ms Martens where she got her SCIENCE? I’m thinking the movie “Goodfellas” when ‘Tommy’ used a ‘silenced’ automatic to kill ‘Stacks’ for not having the get-away van crushed like he was supposed to. On second thought, since she’s older, she probably got her SCIENCE from “The Sting”, when mob hit lady Loretta Salino gets double-tapped to the head with a ‘silenced’ revolver by Robert Redford’s bodyguard. Since it involves a Lefty God like Redford, I have to imagine she considers her SCIENCE unimpeachable. Stop questioning the SCIENCE wingnuts!

BB, if you listen to audio of her perjury, the entire audience laughed so hard the committee chair had to ask people to be silent.
Laughter is great, but what I’m getting at is one of the legislators pointing out that expert testimony had already pointed out that even with a silencer, the noise from the weapon is still around 120dB, about 1000x more noise power than a typical vaccuum cleaner–and then asking her if she understands the implications of the data.
BB,pointing out the expert testimony to her won’t do any good. I don’t believe it is naivete that explains her positions. She purposefully, and shamelessly, spreads lies to further her agenda. It’s an example of The Ends Justifies the Means.
Yeah, but calmly calling her a liar to her face might do a bunch of good, donchathink? She might not be persuaded that what she’s doing is wrong, but humiliation is great for the liberal soul.
