Shot in the Dark

Mostly Peaceful

A friend of the blog emails:

No. This person does not deserve our sympathy at this time. He attempted to murder someone. I don’t care if he’s a friend of yours, if he was “on your side at one time.” He attempted to murder someone.

I wonder how sympathetic Hannah Drake would be if the shooter were a white man with a MAGA hat. They both could have the same mental health issues, be going through the same thing.

Doesn’t matter. Attempted murder is attempted murder and it is illegal.

For a depressingly large part of our population, morality means “everything I want to, believe and accept is right“.

Out on laughable bail posted by BLM and is a darling of the jetset. Because the cause was just, his heart is on the right place, and he is the right color. Two Americas™.

Brown: history of mental issues and still able to buy a gun.

Lads, a group of us are packing up for a week of trail riding and horseback orienteering in the Warwoman WMA.

For that period of time, I don’t care how many people negroes kill; don’t care how many cars get jacked in leftist shithole cities; don’t care what Fuck Joe Biden does; don’t care what Kameltoe does; don’t care what Putin does. If we get back and find the Chinese army has taken over, I’ll learn Cantonese.

    Adios.

    off-topic, is this “our” Frisch?

Boebert the Betrayer vs. Frisch the Fascist – shootout at Shooters Grill!

    snip

Frisch is a Minnesota native who made more than a good living as a Wall Street banker after marrying a rich heiress. His banking specialty was currency trading. Between his choice of wife as an heiress and his choice of career as a currency trader, you could say he’s currently currency’d. With some of that currency, he moved to Aspen while sending his kids to East Coast boarding schools.

Emery’s 8:56 raises an interesting point. We know it’s easier to buy a gun than a book, the President told us so. Still, there’s something missing here.

The media reported Kyle’s uncle bought a fully automatic rifle, a straw purchase, which Kyle was too young to possess but snuck over the border so he could go hunting Black men. Those were all lies, of course, but the origina of the gun was widely reported.

But it’s been days and I still don’t know where Brown got his gun. Which irresponsible merchant of death sold it to him? How’d he pass a federal background check? Why haven’t the police traced the serial number to learn when it was stolen, and from whom, and why didn’t they take better care to prevent it?

It’s weird. Why isn’t the media interested in reporting this information?

Don’t worry JD, Glock/S&W/SIG/Taurus/etc will be served with a wrongful death lawsuit in three… two… one…

Lol, yeah, nothing in the two stories I read says anything about the weapon used. No NRA/2nd Amendment/easier to buy a gun angle , so no mention.

Troll steps on his wanker (if he has a wanker) again.

Wild guess is that he has bipolar disorder, though can’t exclude schizophrenia,

“History of mental issues and still able to buy a gun.” That’s a good point and one which reinforces the futility of universal background checks. They impose a needless delay and expense on honest buyers, but don’t catch the mentally ill. If he was mentally ill.

Could be Quintez Brown was never formally diagnosed as mentally ill and wasn’t prohibited from buying; could be he was diagnosed but not committed; could be the commitment papers were never forwarded to the background check system; could be his name wasn’t flagged in the background check system because of a misspelling; could be he didn’t buy from a licensed dealer and therefore didn’t undergo a background check . . . could be he’s never had any mental illness in his life but his lawyer is throwing it out there to soften the jury pool . . . awful lot we don’t know about this guy, aside from BLM handing over $100,000 in certified funds to walk him out of jail after attempting to assassinate a candidate for public office.

JPA: Somehow I don’t think our Frisch is the same as that Frisch.

A WONDERFUL comment from the page where you pulled that quote: https://theaspenbeat.com/2022/02/23/boebert-the-betrayer-vs-frisch-the-fascist-shootout-at-shooters-grill/#comment-28603

Side concern on ‘blm’. I am very anti the organization ‘blm’. Very. They are a nasty, violent, marxist leftist org and are a big cause of the current violence throughout America. At my dentist office the other day I saw they placed a blm sign on the receptionists desk. I am extremely offended (see dems, I can play that game too). So much so I am going to tell them I am leaving for another dentistry due to their display of marxism in their office. I have little ties to them since the main dentist retired last year. So after my crown is attached, I am outta there and I am telling them why.
