This isn’t the right analogy. If we reject cuckservatives, we will not die. We will have to live with reprobates until the next election, and usually everyone is pissed off enough to vote GOP by then. Hopefully the party fields acceptable candidates.
This is how we got the Contract with America, the Freedom Caucus and the Tea Party.
The correct analogy is a family rejecting a Yugo, and buying a Cadillac next year.
