  1. Thesis: if Trump wins, Democrats won’t be able to accept it and violence will increase. Therefore, Republicans should vote for Biden to appease rioters.

Translation: “If I can’t have her, nobody can; I’ll kill her first.”

  2. Only a political writer for The Atlantic could be this stupid about politics.
“In presidential elections, once is a fluke; twice is a pattern.”
“Democracy, after all, is supposed to self-correct after mistakes . . .”
“The popular-vote numbers will be used to argue that Trump won without winning—again. In theory, this could be a good thing, if it birthed a mass movement to change the way Americans choose their presidents.”
“Republican manipulation is what the democratic process itself has produced, however unfair, and it can be undone only through that same process, however flawed.”

Oh, and BTW, the writer doesn’t seem to believe that the violence and unrest in Democrat cities is due to “white Supremacists”:
“A loss by Joe Biden under these circumstances is the worst case not because Trump will destroy America (he can’t), but because it is the outcome most likely to undermine faith in democracy, resulting in more of the social unrest and street battles that cities including Portland, Oregon, and Seattle have seen in recent months. “

  3. The owner of The (once great) Atlantic Magazine is the 59th richest woman in America and the country’s most renown nitwit, Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of Apple’s late CEO Steve Jobs.

She acquired her wealth by marriage because her looks were her only asset.

She has now devoted her wealth (actually Steve’s trust) to inflicting her ditzy views of life and the world upon the country.

I am not a fan of the Death Tax – but things like this go a long way toward changing my mind.

  4. he Atlantic writer (Shadi Hamid) is highly credentialed in mainstream Left intellectual & political circles, so it goes without saying he has a poor grasp of American politics.
-He condemns the electoral college w/o ever discussing the purpose of the electoral college.
-He believes democracy has a purpose other than that laid out in the constitution (to elect people like Biden)
-He never mentions Biden’s obvious physical and mental decline (or any other of Biden’s defects as a candidate).
