    Apropos of nothing at all Mitch, have you ever listened to the bass line in “Point Blank”? I was taking a rest the other day and my i tunes shuffle came up with that, and my ear just followed the bass line, something I don’t usually do. It’s pretty neat, and odd for a guitar player to say, but I think bass players are kind of amazing. Guy’s name is Gary Tallent, Bruce’s bass player?

    Yep. Tallent is an amazing musician; Point Blank is a great part, among many in his career. My favorite is the bass line from “Backstreets”, off Born to Run.

    I just picked up Tallent’s solo album, Break Time – kind of a latter-day rockabilly record, and really really good.
