Sen. Schumer has been a major proponent of being able to deduct your state tax payments from your taxable income for federal tax purposes. He’s okay with an ever increasing federal tax burden, but when his constituent banksters, hedge fundsters and other inherited wealthsters might catch a higher bill because they choose to reside on Planet Manhattan, he’s the supply sider at Laffer’s elbow.
