Suck it up, little campers.

I survived the last eight years.  You’ll survive the Trump years, as well -provided you don’t slash your wrists tonight, or freeze to death in a Canadian winter.

If it’s any consolation to y’all?  While a Hillary victory would have left a Democrat party marching in its usual lockstep, the GOP is going to have to work just as hard to focus Trump as it would have had to do to oppose HIllary.

By the way – is the nuclear option immoral again?

    I was awakened by fireworks around 1am here in NE Minneapolis. I figured it meant a Clinton win. Imagine my relief this morning when I see that wasn’t the case.

    Looking around at the main stream lefty editorial sites — like the NY Times — it is shocking to discover how much they hate and fear most of their fellow citizens. They literally believe that the the only way they can stop you from murdering muslims, gays, and blacks, reinstating slavery, raping women at will, and destroying all human life, is to use an authoritarian, non-democratically responsive federal government to monitor and control you, like you were a monkey in a cage.
    They are sick motherfuckers, no matter how many pulitzers they have won.

    It was pleasure enough for them just to know that they were driving us wild with dismay — by “us,” I mean librarians, children’s authors, yoga practitioners, Unitarians, birdwatchers, people who make their own pasta, opera goers, the grammar police, people who keep books on their shelves, that bunch.     I stopped reading Keillor years ago. He’s an embittered curmudgeon who isn’t funny anymore. Hopefully he’ll move back to Europe. Although that didn’t work out last time he tried it.

    Random thoughts:

    1. After two mid-term thumpings, his Brexit lectures to the UK and his “vote to preserve my legacy” endorsement of Hillary, Barack Obama’s endorsement will be as sought after as a glass of warm water at a taco cart in Mexicoo.

    2. All of those Clinton Foundation donors may be looking for a refund. Sorry, no returns without a receipt – but you should be able to find one on Wikileaks.

    3. How long before the Clintons are dead broke again? With no influence to barter they will have to rely on their natural charm, polished manners and the good feelings and fellowship engendered by 20+ years of non-stop campaigning and cupidity to survive.

    4. If you think Game of Thrones is compelling, be sure to tune in to the Red Wedding celebration dinner when Trump and the Republican “leadership” get together to break bread – and kneecaps.
