Thank you.
Thank you so very, very much.
I thought Roger Moe was an awful endorsement for governor. Hatch is the same kind of old-school DFL apparatchik as Moe, with the added level of sleaze for which he is famous...
Minnesota has done very well under Pawlenty; four more years will be a great thing.

Normally I don't comment anonymously, but since I'm sharing something "off the record," well, here goes...
I'm one of the numerous persons in the media that Hatch has pitched on his "go after the drug companies" plan to solve the meth problem (or at least use their money to solve it). After debating him for the better part of an hour on the merits of using taxpayer money to fund a vendetta against big drug companies instead of other more useful drug fighting strategies (like going after those dang coleman stove producers!!! If you can't cook the meth, then you can't make the meth!!!), Mike stepped away from the mic, looked at us, and said, "off the record, I know that mandates like this don't have a shot in the dark of going through, but it is an election year after all."
Mike Hatch is the consumate "say what needs to be said" politician. He's not tied to a party, an ideaology, or even a soul. He just wants to advance to the next level in politics, and he'll say and do whatever it takes to get there. Unfortunately, those with no morals tend to be overwhelmingly DFL in this state; let's just hope the good voters of Minnesota can tell swill from shineola and see through his overpolished veneer.

Posted by: Kermit at June 12, 2006 01:19 PMI wouldn't write the sleazebag off entirely. Look, it took Mark Dayton four tries before he finally bought himself an office. The difference between Hatch and Dayton is Hatch has the "Vision Thing". Dayton has a large, empty cavity surrounding his optic nerve.
Thanks!!! furniture Very nice site.I enjoy being here.
