Given my schedule, only three things will squeeze out any time to spend any time paying attention to sports:
Down 20-0 at halftime, Chicago returned two fumbles for touchdowns in the second half. Then Hester returned a punt 83 yards for a score with 2 minutes, 58 seconds left to take the lead, and the Bears overcame six turnovers by Grossman to beat the Cardinals 24-23 on a wild Monday night.Of course, the kiss of death is if Tom Barnard says they are a sure thing. They will exit contention immediately after that.
Stay away, Tom. Stay away.

I thought I was going to have a heart attack last night! The Bears still need an offense (or at least one that is not as offensive as this one is) but Brian Urlacher showed last night why he is a Pro-Bowler. He took over the game in the 4th quarter and is the only reason the Bears were able to score.
I can't take many more games like that, but it sure was fun.
Posted by: The Lady Logician at October 17, 2006 10:11 AMIn 2001, the Bears were back with a 13-3 season! However, after a first round bye, they were throttled at home by Philly in the divisional playoffs, 33-19.
In 2005, the Bears were once again on the rise with an 11-5 record. Alas, they went belly-up again at home in the divisional round after a first round bye.
The Bears can't stand prosperity. Look for yet another early exit after a nice regular season.
