OK, I think I finally got the hang of fixing my comment section.
And now that we got Zarquawi, I think the next bomb should go to whomever invented comment spam.
Yeah. I can dig it.
Doesn't the funny guy post here anymore?
I thought Berg disabled it to protect his reputation while on vacation. Hey, that rhymes!
I think the best way to end comment spam would be to require your readers to mail in their comments. Maybe you could get Mel Jass to read them aloud on a podcast.
Or maybe his brother, Hugh Jass. Or his friend, Heywood Jablomi.
Dave's question is answered.
Clown,
Mel Jass was the actual name of a long-time Twin Cities broadcast personality.
Of course I know that. Mel Jass was a genius! But you have to give a lot of credit to his writing staff: Jenna Talia, Mike Hunt and Dick Hertz.
"So what does your hubby do?" "He posts inane satirical responses on the internet." "He's got a good job."
And Trackback spam ain't so cool, either.
Mitch,
I use WordPress for my blog. Since activating the Askimet plug-in I've gone from 100 spam comments a week to zero.
Just something to consider as you decide which direction to go with your site.
Be well, Bob
I've explored switching to Wordpress. The technical installation was a bit more than I could pull off at first blush.
Hey - a blog about voiceover work! Cool!
(I used to do a lot - and miss it!)

No technical installation required. It's free. And I believe you can even import your current blog to their site.
