My neighbor Flash, from Centristy, is going to be interviewing Barack Obama later today:

If all goes well, I'll have the transcript up on Monday, hopefully with a couple photos.

So, what ONE question would you ask the Senator, if you had this opportunity.

Here's the list:

The Democrats are currently split into two major wings - the barking moonbats and the remains of the Clintonistas. You seem to be trying to reach out to both, simultaneously. How do you plan to fix the party?
Polling shows that, whatever the President's problem du jour, the Democrats finish somewhere below Britney Spears on the quesiton "who do you trust to defend the nation/prosecute the war on terror?" How do you plan on addressing this?
No, I mean with specifics.
OK, Mr. "Democrats are the party of the people" - do you plan on rolling back the McCain-Feingold speech rationing laws?
OK, so you Democrats have had your fun. You've spent six years dinging at Bush's tax cuts - which are largely responsible for the economy's current robustness. How ya gonna follow that?

I have several questions along a similar theme (VERY close to you questiuons #1 actually) with notes for followup opportunities. I have a feeling the time will just fly by once we get started.

The ONE questions line was for my commentors. I will hand them to the Sen should he have an opportunity to address them at a later time. Most of yours are already in the mix, just worded a bit differently *grin*

Deficit spending caused in large part by tax cuts is what has propped up the economy. That is an important distinction. Spending billions more than we actually have will definitely stimulate the economy. To argue that the robust economy is due to the tax cuts without controlling for the deficit spending part of the equation is a bit ingenuous.*
