Just Mooooooove On

Gary Gross - Saint Cloud's vice-premier of blogging - has finally ditched blogspot and created a new blog, "Let Freedom Ring".

He ends his piece on the Dean Johnson flap as follows:

At this point, all I’m certain of is that the Senate Ethics Committee failed us by not doing a thorough investigation. Let’s hope that this isn’t the last we hear of this issue. Johnson’s hearing brought forth questions that demand answers.
On the way to that ending, Gary asks a number of questions that need answers, if we really value ethical government in this state.

Naturally, the Strib is beginning its campaign to sweep it all under the rug.

Mitch, Thanks for pub on moving.

As for the DFL & the Strib (they're one & the same), they're too big to move & too dumb to hide. This thing isn't going away as long as I've got this burr under my saddle.

The way I see it, there are two likely possibilities:

1) The Senate Majority Leader simply lied -either about talking to members of the MN Supreme Court or what was discussed at said meeting - in the hopes of misleading his fellow pastors into thinking that he was promised by several members of the MN Supreme Court that they would not hear this sort of case so that they would pushing for a vote.

2) One or more members of the MN Supreme Court has committed a major ethical violation by promising the Senate Majority Leader an outcome on a particular case that might come before them.

If Senator Johnson has witnesses to the events in question let's hear from them.........or is that a lie too?

"'I think it is possible he had a meeting and the topic came up,' said Sen. Thomas Neuville, R-Northfield. 'If push had come to shove, I think [Johnson] would have had witnesses. I didn't sense he was gaming or bluffing.'"

So anyhow...just a question...is everyone here going to be all upset with Justice Scalia? No? Huh. Go figure.

Let me phrase this as a Fecke-ism: "Anyone see where the two situations might not be especially analogous? No? Really? Wow. Imagine that."
