Hah, I say again.

I saw ROTS for the 2nd last week. God, the acting was awful. Natalie Portman's South Cali accent was thick enough to cut with a knife. It's mind boggling that Lucas let her get away with saying 'aright' rather than 'alright'. Or that he'd write a line with the 'alright' colloquialism in the first place.
Maybe the process of directing 'Howard the Duck' permanently reduced Lucas' IQ by fourty points.

Was Lileks' choice for the fictional comment-troll's name "PeeveBoy" inspired by someone we all know and loathe, or just a really wierd coincidence?

Legal papers are being filed as you read this, Foot.

That's mighty white of you, Angryclown!

Uh, actually, Clown--and I know how hard it is for you to accept that sometimes it's NOT ALL ABOUT YOU--I believe LF was referring to frequent SitD commenter "PB."

A composite character, perhaps. The name is Peeb's, but the contempt is clearly modeled on Angryclown.

And that Carly Simon song? Totally about Angryclown.

I have it on good authority that "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" is also about Angryclown.

As is "Ice, Ice, Baby."

Actually, Lileks never directly quoted the troll. Therefore, I think happy jester may have a difficult case.

again, I would assert A.C. was not held enough as a child....

Can't be Clown. For all of his many and obvious faults, he can spell.
As I said yesterday, the PB initials can't be a coincidence. I thought it was hilarious.

Plus, Clown tends to have a sense of humor.

Peeved Bloviator was a humorless leftie with an earnest stick firmly up his ass.

I still suspect that Mitch made him up.
