In re JB's abstinence from alcohol for Lent (and his challenge to the Fraters to do the same), Folsom James Phillips commented:

Good God, Mitch, whatever you do, don't give up gambling until you take the "under" on JB going without booze for 40 days. And if Atomozer [sic] tries, move to Vegas.

Heh.

But if we were in Vegas, what would the board look like?

Here at Mitch's Purely-For-Amusement Sportsbook, I have the over-unders for the Fraters' Lent Challenge:

Chad the Elder: 12 days.
Brian: 2 days.
JB: 7 days.
Atomizer: No action on that bet.

Place yer bets.

Parlay the under on all four, and set up a remote broadcast from Keegans. We could pay them an appearance fee and STILL come out ahead.

I dunno. Brian comes across as the good, clean cut kid next door. If he either really is a "Saint", he could mangage to make the end of Lent. If.

Chad the Elder plays hockey. He might make the full 40 days.

JB? No chance. After one day he writes 8 paragraphs on the achievement? Oh yeah, that'll last. At least he's not a bass player. Wouldn't'be made it this far.

And Atomizer knows better. But anyone taking the over on him probably should give up gambling for Lent.
