Well, as much as I hate to say it, this is local-control of government at its best. The local government makes the WRONG decision....but at least its at the local level. Not the County/Met Council/State.

Here's a suggestion for the State boys: Pass legislation to set the GUIDELINES if a lower jurisdiction CHOOSES to impose a ban. Make all the rules uniform, as in where the signs are place and what the rules are on total bans or partials.

Then let the locals decide. Let Minneapolis or St. Paul bars/resturants fail and close. And when your tax collections drop off, you'll watch as the residential taxes skyrocket. Sooner or later, the voters will have enough of the DFL-Socialist-Communist nanny-state crap and sh*tcan then all.

Thanks for the link, Mitch. Readers/workers, be sure to also scroll down at the FDogs page for Chairman Coleman's Little Red Book. The first reading is already posted. Many more readings and mandatory display posters will be forthcoming...In with th "Clean Health" plan and the New Ways!

Careful, there you insensitive brutes, you are going to make the Chairman's daughter cry. (NOTE: This is a reference to how Chris Coleman started the general election last fall. He and his wife quoted his teen-age daughter as saying that she was upset by the attacks on her dad.) Not only is a dark night coming to Saint Paul but we get to look forward to four years of the Teflon Chairman hiding behind his daughter ("You've hurt her feelings, you brute") everytime someone deigns to criticize him.
