"Cancer Is A Jerk, And I Hate It"

I only know Dan Champion through his blog, "Popping Culture". And the main theme of the blog for as long as I've read it has been Dan's fight with cancer. Dan, his blog and his attitude have been a sobering inspiration for a long time now.

Dan passed away yesterday. Please keep your thoughts and prayers with his family.

And do yourself a favor and flip back through some of his writing.

I spent half an hour scrolling through his history, a touching, bittersweet account. He sounded much like I might in his circumstances, not afraid to die, but worried about what was left undone.

Cancer robs most of us of someone whom we love. I never met my grandpa because of it. It is a jerk. Mrs. Popping Culture shows amazing courage in the last two posts. I wish her all the best.
