Ellison Akbar!

Keith Ellison - supporter of cop-killers, unapologetic Kathleen Soliah fan, and a person whose past includes episodes that, if mirrored to a candidate on the right, would have provoked a media frenzy - wins the MN CD5 primary:

"Let's be honest, we faced some tough days, but we never got negative," Ellison continued. "And we proved that you can win an election by going positive and staying positive. We know that negative campaigning has its effects, but it doesn't enhance our humanity, it does not build bridges, it builds walls."

Well, to be fair, it helps to be in a district where the DFL could nominate a set of wind-up chattering teeth and draw 60%...

Sorry Dave but the voting records for this district show the Green Party getting more votes than a Republican. I live in CD5, you have no idea how much they hate Republicans.

The only bright spot is that this moron will now be the national face of the MN DFL.

I wish. It's scary seeing how many Ann Rest, Ember! , Hatch, Erlandson, Sandra Peterson, etc. lawn signs there are in my neck of the woods. I have only seen 3 or 4 houses with any (R) candidates (2 of which have Derek Brigham signs), and not a single Jeffers sign. Like Mitch said, a set of chattering teeth with a DFL endorsement can take 60% of the vote here. How else could you explain Ann Rest?

The minaret is no pipe dream. They are building one in North Minneapolis next to a mosque that is already there. I thought that is what was being referred to.

The repubs may poll better in the 5th than they have in forever but not win. Tammy Lee will pick up more dissaffected Dems than Fine. I agree, most anti- ellison dems in the 5th would rather vote for an independence party candidate who is a former democrat who worked for Skip Humphrey and a soccer mom type to boot. What she doesn't have is $$ but that could change now.

Fulcrum, Christianity had a reformation and got coopted after the whole 30 year war thing, and doesn't operate as a governing bodypolitic anymore. Islam hasn't quite made that jump. I do agree that I am more then a little revolted by the xenophobic comments. Live and let live, is the American way. But then I'm one of those "cold dead fingers" types.

I question why no one among those 1,000,000,000 followers has loudly, publically condemned the "use and distortion" of Islam. Where are they? If "a group of people" is responsible for "slaying infidels wherever [they] find [them]", where's the outrage from the 1,000,000,000 followers?

If they have, I want to see names, dates, and links to those among the 1,000,000,000 followers that have condemned the actions of "a group of people."

Um...if I remember correctly, one of the great cries of the right that was ignored by the left and the MSM was the lack of Muslim clerics, and especially high stature Muslim leaders who spoke out against 9/11.

If Paul and I are still wrong, then you show us how wrong we are by providing verifiable references and links.

I've read that 10% of muslims support shari'a and jihad. If 10% of that 10% are willing to strap on a bomb, hijack an airplane, or kidnap and behead a civilian or a missionary trying to help, that's still 1.2-1.5 million people around the world who want to kill me, Greg, Paul, Mitch AND YOU, Fulcrum.

That is, unless you are willing to convert and bow in prayer to Mecca 5X daily.

I'm not.

Not every muslim is a terrorist, no. But almost every terrorist is a muslim. And when the western society as a whole is at stake against an enemy who is willing to die in their goal of conquest, I'd rather that battle happen outside of the US, not here.

Again, lots of leftists are lacking in their grasp of good vs evil.

Maybe i'm wrong. I doubt I am, but maybe I am. I'd still rather be wrong and save ourselves, our country, our society and our way of life, than YOU be wrong and....oops!

As a final note, in my post about hoping for public disturbance complaints, I should have clarified myself. I SHOULD have said "if their bloody speakers are blasting ass to heavenways". I don't care if they pray, I just don't want to hear that screeching sound calling for prayer 5 times a day.

As the ACLU loves to squawk about public displays of Christmas, "their right to freedome of religion does not trump my right to freedom FROM (their) religion"

Perhaps some of you should get your story straight. If you're going to claim that Ellison is one of the large number of Muslims who are anti-jihad and anti-terrorist -- and there may be some millions of them across the world -- you'd better first explain why he's getting support from CAIR.

Does he actually have to get campaign contributions for Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian government before the nature of his supporters gives you a clue?

I tend to be skepitcal of Wetern Muslims. Ironically they're the ones most violent/hostile to the West. And lately they have been very hostile towards us. Therefore I don't think we need to apologize for asking Ellison uncomfortable questions
